Where is the Best Thai Food in Seattle, Washington?
Silver Spoon consistently serves some of the most fresh, flavorful and tasty Thai food I have eaten. The service is also excellent – very friendly, prompt and courteous. The lunch specials are an amazing value. They include Phad Thai, soup and rice (white or brown) with every lunch special entree for only $7-8, and the portions are very large! Most dinner entrees are very reasonable at around $10. I have dined in the restaurant about five times for lunch and dinner, and enjoyed it every time. It is always clean, the decor is nice and there is even live piano music in the evenings. Typhoon Thai, also in Redmond, has excellent Thai food but I would say Silver Spoon is a way better value and the food is nearly as good (if not better in some cases). Don’t miss out on the coupons available from CitySearch, or the Silver Spoon website – 15% off your entire bill for first-time guests! That makes it an even better value!Pros + Great food, wonderful service, amazing valueCons – C
Thai restaurants are a dime a dozen and I’ve been to a lot of them but this Jai Thai in Fremont had the most incredible pad thai, yellow curry chicken and Thai fried rice. I took my very-picky-about-Asian-food parents there and they were blown away. Can’t put my finger on it but the taste of each dish just had something special that sets this restaurant apart. And the prices were very reasonable too. My only complaint is the dark and rather scary bathroom.
This dining experience was above average. I started with an order of spring rolls. Great presentation ? the rolls were cut diagonally and stood up on their end in a row. I also ordered the ?lime soda?. The waitress described it as being kind of like lemonade, only with lime and soda water. It was EXCELLENT. However, at $2.95 a glass I doubt I?ll order it every time. I then had the main course, pad thai with beef ? 2 stars. I?ve only seen the presentation they used once before ? they fry an egg onto the pad thai and the dish is served almost hidden by the egg. Very interesting. The pad thai itself was very saucy and flavorful. Their star system seems pretty accurate ? no big surprises. Ordering pad thai with beef is risky – I will probably order the dish with chicken if I come here again. At $18.50 before tip, this was not a cheap thai dinner but it was worth the money. I recommend this place as a break from your usual haunts. Very good atmosphere, friendly staff, welcoming environment.
