Where is the Best Thai Food in Orange County, California?

I have been a diner at the Thai Kitchen for probably over 12 years, I know the people who own it. They are very concerned about service and good food. I go there 2-3 times per month because the food is so good, and at lunch, reasonably priced.I must comment on the service problem that one diner mentioned. I will not argue that this couple got bad service on the night in question, as I was not there, but from my 100-200 times eating there, I can tell you that interracial couples/groups are the norm on any given night. This is especially true during lunch as Thai Kitchen is a popular spot for the surrounding business people.Back to the food: I personally like my food hot; my wife likes it mild. We love the soups, the spring rolls, the mee krob and all of the curried dishes. One of my favorites is the long green beans with chicken or beef. I don’t happen to like the white sauce, so they substitute the soy-based sauce. Perfect! One drawback for me in Thai places is that there aren’t

Avoid the review by “walkontheocean”, because they’re talking about the Newport location near the 405 and 55 freeway exits. This one is located in Laguna Beach, and near the beach!Come here at least once a month from Irvine, but it’s worth the drive. The food, drinks, service and ambiance are to die for. Check out the Champagne Brunch on Sundays, where you get a multi course meal for about $14 including drinks, appetizer, salad, main course and dessert! Make sure to sit out on the patio to feel the nice ocean breeze while you’re eating. My favorites: Katoang Thong, Beef Satay, Tila Salad, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Crying Tiger and the coconut and mango ice creams! Their smoothies are also very good.

I brought my mom to have dinner there last night. We had Prig King. It’s $12.95 including ,appetizer, cocktails (happy hour). It’s very good deal! We both had Tom Yum Shrimp soup and Dumpling as appetizer. I tried Pad Thai with Shrimp and my mom had Chicken Basil sauce. We had coconut rice c and sticky with mango as dessert to share. I just want to say it’s perfect! Also, the service is very attentive and fast. Waitresses are very helpful and friendly. My mom was very happy and she would recommend her friends to visit Tawanna thai when they’re comming to the LA City. I would to go back again soon next week before my broadway show. See you soon, Tawanna thaiPros + Excellent Food and Service

This is my first review. I have to agree with the other reviews about Thai Bamboo Bistro that I’ve read here and on other sites. The food is very tasty, authentic, flavorful. The staff are beyond friendly, really polite and happy to serve you. The decor is modern, contemporary, clean and well kept with a relaxing ambience. You can even eat outside in the shared courtyard on comfortable lounge chairs. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because of the price – $17.95 for my Green Fish Curry was a little steep, but then again, this is Orange County.
