Where is the Best Thai Food in Memphis, Tennessee?
I have eaten at a lot of Thai places. And I do mean a lot, I count them in the dozens. It is far and away my favorite type of food, and I make a point of trying every Thai restaurant that I come across. I will admit that my sample size here is small, as I have only eaten here once, and I didn’t even order an appetizer. What I did get though is a Thai standard and one that I have eaten at many restaurants and a good place to start a comparison. That dish of course was Red Curry. The curry was extremely sweet, sweeter than all but a handful of the places I have eaten at, but it melded the sweetness with a heart richness that made it exceptional rather than just sweet. The pork in it was prepared well and the spice level was very accurate and perfectly prepared for how I requested it. The atmosphere and decor is nice, and the fact its in an old house is quaint, but Thai places tend to always be decorated nicely and I would just consider it normal rather than something to hang its
I have visited this restaurant a handful of times this year, since it is the nicest restaurant near my office. I have found myself coming back to visit during the weekends, even though I live in midtown, simply because I love the ambiance. It’s a great place to bring a book to read, or to catch up with an old gal pal I haven’t talked to in ages. The food is delicious – my favorites are their Massaman Curry and the Beef salad. And the servers know when to leave you alone. Overall, one of my favorite restaurants in the city!Pros + Great food, unimposing service, relaxing ambianceCons – Location
