Where is the Best Thai Food in Kansas City, Missouri?

My food rating is influenced by the Thai cooking courses I have taken in north & south Thailand. It is not as spicy as Thai food, but few locals could take that heat. Decor is Asian rustic – pleasant enough but the chairs are not comfortable. They have sidewalk seating but I haven’t tried that. Tom Yum soup and peanut sauce were too salty. Mixed drinks have plenty of ice. Pad Thai is a winner. Will eat there again – it’s easier than fixing it myself.

Consistently good food on every visit. My wife likes the Pad Thai noodles so well that she hasn’t tried anything else yet. Other menu items are every bit as good. Each dish can be ordered with the heat level to your liking, from mild to hot. The decor is sumptuous and the lighting is restrained. While families are frequently present, little ones may be more comfortable in an environment that is more kid-friendly. Servers, while generally attentive, can be hard to locate when the restaurant is busy.

After I read the article about this restaurant in KC Star and USA Today, it came to the point that I have to come and try some thai foods at this restaurant. I ordered chicken coconut soup as my starter, it was very tasty and creamy chicken soup with bell pepper and mushroom in it. Then, I tried chicken and shrimp Pad Thai Noodle as my entree, it was very delicious sweet&sour chewy soft thin rice noodle with nice combination of chicken and shrimp, and bean spout and scallion. Thai Iced Tea was superb, sweeten and creamy iced tea. I really enjoyed it. Overall, this restaurant provides an excellent food and service, this restaurant is an A+ in my favorite restaurant lists.Pros + Variety Foods, Excellent ServiceCons – Limited Seating Space

This tiny space in the same strip-mall that houses Sears Grand, Papa John’s and KFC serves some of the boldest flavors in the Kansas City Metro area.I have to admit, I’m a creature of habit so I often find myself ordering the same few dishes over and over again, but the fact remains that I do continue to order…over and over and over again. As an appetizer, I always go straight for the Angel Wing. It’s a breaded, stuffed, deep-fried chicken wing served with fabulous home-made sweet & sour dipping sauce (no ketchup to be found here…) as big as your fist, and sliced into bite-sized pieces. From what I can gather, the stuffing is made of dried black mushroom strips, breadcrumbs, chopped chicken, and various herbs and spices. The Pad Ki Mao is the main reason I continue to make the drive to the Northland, and leave in a capsaicin-induced sweat. The liberal use of Thai Basil and the combination of the hot and sweet of this dish make it one of the best to-go dishes you’ll find an
