Where is the Best Thai Food in Cleveland, Ohio?
Okay to be honest this place is probably as good as you will find on the East side. Three of us went. The curry my friend had was good. I, liking my food very hot, opted for a spicy seafood dish. The seafood — mussels, shrimp and so on were quite good. The dish was spicy, although not as spicy as the authentic dish would have been. I am so tired of seeing bell peppers and celery thrown into southeast asian dishes. Yeah, yeah I know the real vegetables are probably difficult to get here, but still it is a cheap copout which denegrates the dishes. The beer was warm because the ‘refrigerator wasn’t working.’ The service — other than the warm beer– was quite good.Pros + good parkingCons – paucity of authentic vegetables
My hubby and I are complete foodie’s. We like trying new cuisines. We were looking for something in Lakewood, OH, where we live and we came across “Thai Kitchen”. We were in two minds, whether to go there or not, as the place looked very small. But the decision of going and trying the food there was completely worth it. We simply loved the food! It is very delicious and it gives a “home cooked meal” kinda taste too. Though a small place, you get a pretty good list of stuffs to try from.
Lunch menu is decent, only 1 waitress when I went Thursday afternoon so service was just a tad slow. Subbed chicken for tofu in the coconut soup, which was a little less rich/creamier than I expected but just the right amount of tangy. Same substitution in the masaman curry main course. Tofu was a bit raw & chewy in the masaman, but the sauce was spot on, veggies were good too. Interesting twist with the chickpeas and the potato. Give it a try, and stick to chicken in your main course. Soup+Main course $9. Overall rating: 7/10.
