My wife and I eat out Thai more oftne than any other cuisine. When friends brought us to Amarind, we were blown away by the incredible food! Bring your own wine and sample as many items as possible. WARNING: Some patience is required. Amarind became very popular, very quickly (due to tremendous reviews) and some growing pains are evident. Dialog with servers can be a chalenge at times and there may be a short wait for a table. The spectacular food is well worth the minor shortcomings!!!Pros + CHEAP CHAEP CHEAP!!!, EXCELENT FOOD!!!, BYOB!!!

I’m an avid diner of Thai restaurants and I must say that the food at Singha was very good! The best thing about the overall dining experience was the value…I was amazed at how cheap all the food was. Also, if you’re looking for a dinner spot where you can actually hear yourself speak, then this is a great place. I definitely recommend and would go again.Pros + inexpensive, not crowded, convenient parking

We got takeout from Penny’s based on the advice of some friends. The pad thai was ok but it didn’t have really rich flavors, nor did it actually taste like Pad Thai. My wife had the wonton soup which was good but also lack rich flavors. Compared to Chen’s, which is just down the street (and more expensive), Penny’s was unimpressive. However, given the price it was pretty good.

Food: Good. I had the Thai Curry Bowl with chicken, wonderful! The rice was perfect and the curry creamy and full bodied without too much heat. My friend had Double Pan Fried Noodles – she wasn’t impressed. We also had PotStickers, I’m not a big fan of this dish, but they were ok – not soggy.Selection: I was surprised at the variety. Something for everyone as different Asian cultures were respresented.Service: Quick and friendly, although our server looked out the window the entire time. $: Good value, portions were moderate in size. Bill and tip around $50 for 2 including alcohol (1 beverage each)and appetizer.Cleanliness: Looked nice, didn’t need the bathrooms.Ambiance: Not so great, you’re typical mall restaurant, busy for the sake of being busy. Come again: This was my first visit and will probably not go again. OK if you’re at the mall and need to eat, but I wouldn’t choose to go there. But I’m not a big fan of chain restaurants.
