We hadn’t eaten Thai food often since we left Portland (a haven for Thai restaurants) so over 18 months or so and were happy with Satay. Much more traditional food that the more Americanized versions we’ve had in town.I tried a coconut sauce/lemon grass stew that seemed to have everything in it. Was a taste bud overload but very good. My wife had the 10 BBQ prawn dish that was very good more more along the lines of a seafood salad. Both werre good but we went off our typical norm of trying a standard well known to us dish the first time we try a place – looking forward to trying the Mus Man curry next time. We did love the Filipino lumpia, alittle different from the homemade stuff I used to get in San Jose, but I’m not splitting hairs of the sytel of rice paper the wrap it in – it was delicious,Their service seems a little random of who will help you but everyone is so nice it doesn’t matter that they didn’t check on us every 4 minutes (like some people need). Very good

The cuisine (notice I did not say food) was exquisite. My only issue with out visit was the service. I was having a bad day, so I certainly will not hold it against them. With only three tables present when we arrived, our greet time was a little long. Our appetizer arrived with our entree which annoyed me and the high-ball glasses jammed packed full of ice did not leave much room for iced tea. However, I said I was cranky that evening so ignore that part. The great part was the crisp tasty Gyoza (dumplings). We chose pork for our filling. They were crispy on the outside and filled with yummy stuff on the inside. I had the Tofu Pad Thai. It was a little spicy, which I like. The tofu was a little chewy, but the flavors were awesome. My dinner partner had the red curry chicken. It could have used a little more kick, but every Thai place is different and you are always cautious about ordering too hot. We did not have room to try the sushi, but it looked great and reasonably

I went to this restaurant once before and I liked it, so I thought, why not try it again? The second time I went I found what can only be described as pubic or armpit hair in my pad thai. Now, I know that this kind of stuff happens sometimes, so I politely told the waitress and she told me they would bring me out a new dish. However, when the dish came back 2 minutes later, my friend and I were pretty sure that they just reheated my original meal. It seemed unlikely that they could cook a brand new meal in that little time. Nevertheless, I was pretty disgusted, but since there was nothing I could do to prove it, I had to pay full price for my meal. NOT a great experience! Also, I know Madam Mam’s is probably more westernized than this place, but I also love their pad Thai much more than the pad thai at Thai Passion! Parking is difficult here, it’s hard to find places on the street so your forced to pay $6 to park. Also, the waitress only came by once to hand over the food and once more

When i come to firebowl, I am reminded of Pei Wei (A lower end Chinese Restaurant). The restaurant has a trendy look to it on the inside and a nice patio to enjoy the food with the weather. The portions are a good size and come at a fair price. I did enjoy the Pad Thai here, but it was not as good as some of the other places I have had. I was slightly disappointed with the red curry dish I had because the spices overwhelmed what I wanted to taste the most…. The coconut red curry. The Singaporean curry noodles was rather bland to my taste. My coworkers seem to enjoy the crispy and sweet sesame chicken. Still… in the end we still come back here for the food… so they must be doing something right… right?

Who would have thought…Thai Spice is a great little restaurant in Lakeway that completely took me by surprise.Everthing that I have ordered here (Yellow Curry, Pepper Steak, Dumplings, Fried Rice, Chicken Terikaki) have all been excellent.Throw in the two piece jazz band for a little ambiance, and you are set. Next up I will give the Sushi a go…Only annoyance here is that the service is generally slow, so order a beverage and relax, you will be in for a treat when your order arrives.Pros + Good Parking, Not CrowdedCons – Slow service
