Where is the Best Tanning Salon in San Francisco, California?
Tan Bella is a great place to go and Tan. I have to admit, I was very hesitant to to give Tan Bella a chance. I live clear across town and I hate to go out of my way for things. After trying about 3 or 4 salons near my residence I decided to give Tan Bella a try. A few of my girlfriends couldn’t stop talking about how much they love it. So I decided to stop being stubborn and give it a try. They all said that the staff is great, but try and get a tan when one of the owners named Greg was there. They said not only is he nice on the eyes, but he is extremely helpful and patient. I probably asked him about 20 minutes of questions and he answered everyone of them never getting irritated. He was all make sure I was happy. He talked about lotion and what it does but wouldn’t sell it to me. He felt it was to early in my process to start using lotion. When I moved to SF last year it was so difficult to find a place that did a spray on tan, most of the places I found were downtown and parking is too difficult down there or if I found some place close it was way too overpriced. However, a month ago I went on citysearch and tried to find some place close by and Fruition Day Spa came up. I’ve been going to this spa for a few weeks now to get a spray on tan and it is great! Not orange at all, and the price is pretty reasonble for san francisco, they also have packages which make it even more afforable. It has never streaked and the lady that does my tan is very professional and nice. Even more parking is really easy in west portal and the spray on tan only takes 20 mins. I would recommned this spa for a spray on tan to any of my friends, or anyone who else is looking to get some color in this (most of the time) sunless city! Pros + Parking/Nice Staff/Tan wasn’t orange or streaky/No sales pressure.
i’ve always been a skeptic on spray tans due to the possibility of looking like an orange. i’ve tried several other tanning places and finally found my favorite at Shimmer. their tanning solution is not orange at all. in fact, it’s golden. with the help of the staff, i was able to get a perfect tan without any streaks or blotches. my tan lasted over one week. it’s definitely worth it. if you decide to check it out, make sure to browse their clothing sections. they’ve got some really fun stuff: dresses, bathingsuit, jewelry and sportswear. i picked up some fun sportswear and bathingsuits that you can’t find elsewhere in the city. i highly recommend shimmer to anyone who is considering an alternative and healthier way to tanning. My boyfriend had scheduled this couples massage for me for my birthday. We first spent about half an hour in the sauna. I have to say that the sauna is the best thing ever. I like to work out alot and this infrared sauna really loosend up my muscles and got us really ready for the massage. It also takes out all the horrible toxins in our bodies. We opted out of taking the shower and went straight into the massage room. We did a 75 minute deep tissue massage and I really fell into this relaxation state! My boyfriend must have also enjoyed it because I could hear him almost snoring! Between the sauna and the massages this is definately the best place to go.
