Where is the Best Tanning Salon in Austin, Texas?
I live in west campus so i recently decided to take my friend’s advice and go to Aruba for a spray tan before an upcoming party. I was kind of nervous because my skin is pretty white but it looked great! Alyssa did my spray and she was amazing! I would definately recommend requesting her if you are a first timer. She made me feel really comfortable and talked me through the process. the color was really even and bronze without it looking fake or orangy at all (which I was afraid of). the salon was kind of busy so it took me a little while to pay and everything after but it seemed like a cool place, the girls at the front desk were really nice too. I will definately be recommending my friends to try it out. thanks aruba tan!Pros + flawless spray tans, good locationCons – a little crowded
The location on William Cannon is horrible!! I just canceled my contract due the owner being lazy & repeatedly, over the extent of my contract (apx. 2 years), choosing to not fix the Mystic Tanning machine when it was broken &/or choosing to not drive over to that location to fill up the spray. I was patient the first year (& only stayed due the convenience of the location), but when this poor service continued & it was continually broken or out of spray, I decided to take my business to Darque Tan (which has clean, fantastic facilities & excellent customer service : )As I was telling the employee why I was canceling my contract, that employee expressed how the owner had NOT supplied that location w/ toilet paper in over a week because that location was out of his way & that the owner did NOT pay his employees for extra hours worked & that the owner did not properly deduct taxes from their money earned (or something to that effect). The owner also told his employees at the Will
First off, I’m not a big review writer. I’m more of the person that reads other people’s review, but after the amazing experience i had with Airbrush Studio of Austin, i just had to share. 1. They are Super friendly. i got lost (twice), but they were more than happy to give me better directions than Mapquest did. (By the way, don’t Google, Mapquest, etc. this place. The employees give way easier directions)2. Very Private. They lock all doors to their business while they are airbrushing you.3. Highly detailed. they make sure to get all the crooks and crannies. ha.4.GREAT TAN!! I was super pale when i walked in, i told them i wanted to skip the light glow and just go straight to their celebrity tan. Though i was skeptical on my decision (a missed spot would definitely show), but i walked out with a natural Brazilian tan. i was highly impressed.5. The price is perfect :)I recommend this place to anyone that wants that tan they’ve been dreaming about. Without the unsanitary u
I am writing to let everyone searching for ?the best? salon in Austin for highlights and lowlights to stop looking any further. Go to Skye Salon and ask for Laura (although the others are likely just as good). I am a lawyer from LA and I am particular about my look for work. I had gone to Vidal Sassoon for more than 20 years because the quality of hair coloring and cutting is consistently outstanding. I tried two other places in Austin and at one, I was there for hours and at the other, my hair was over-processed. A nightmare to try to fix. I read reviews on CitySearch and found Laura at Skye Salon. I checked the reviews at Yelp too and took a chance. You should too. Laura is excellent with color –both highlights and weaving in darker shades– a superb stylist, experenced and thus quick. The rates are reasonable and comparable to other salons. Another plus is that the salon is in a central location and there is ample parking; Laura, the staff and the owners made it an e
Palm Beach Tan raves about their ‘trained tanning experts.’ When I signed up for their ‘Diamond’ membership ($80/mo) I was pleased with the ‘experts’ working at the time (unfortunately, they are no longer there). After a few mind-numbing experiences (I’ll relive two for you).. I think: Is that what you call service?Day 1: Go in for my usual tan/mystic ‘cocktail” session. Give the young girl my name, explain what I would like to do (as always).. she sends me into the bed.. A clean bed? Slightly. Maybe they are sparing with the disinfectant? Post-tan I return to the desk where I am asked for: my name, address, fingerprint, etc. so she can find my account.. AGAIN. She then shows me to the Mystic… to my (and her) surprise: it’s not working. The three ‘tanning bed attendants’ fumble around the building for the next 15 minutes. Surprisingly they figure it out! ‘What is your name again?’ the girl asks. WHAT! ok.. give her all of my personal info again (third repeat)… wow! I finally mak
