Where is the Best Tanning in Portland, Oregon?
I looked forever online in search of a tanning salon that not only had nice people but a very clean environment. I had this one narrowed down with another one. When I called the other salon, the girl was very rude, uninformative, and was asking for $169/month. However, when I called Urban Tan, they were very nice, extremely knowledgeable and I ended up only paying $59 for the same types of beds, no sales pitch at all. They have an awesome fan that is constantly blowing on you to keep you from overheating too. They also thoroughly clean the beds for you and spray and wipe down the entire bed. I also found it convenient that the on-off button along with the fan control buttons were all inside the bed which makes it very convenient for you to get comfortable in the bed before turning it on. From the moment I walked in and was greeted by Janette, I was immediately put at ease by her professionalism and her, compassionate, and friendly personality. I entered into her salon room and was even put more at ease by the calm, relaxing atmosphere. Her professional nature, and her warm personal touch to my face and my skin left me feeling so uplifted and beautified! When I look good I feel good, and that is very important to me! You can bet I will certainly be going back to Escentials Esthetique to see Janette for all my facials and skin care, and I would highly recommend that anyone else do the same! I have been going to Amore for as long as my Alysia has been there. I love making evening appointments and getting served wine. When I commented about not wanting to be the one who drank too much and they all laugh at me, another stylist said “we don’t talk about our clients here” which was so reassuring to not be the topic of conversation! I love how it is a rule that they can’t badmouth their clients to each other or other clients. I also love how the store owner is in the shop working and making small talk with the clients. She is so nice and owns a great shop. I also was referred to Jojo for my waxing needs and can’t wait to get a Brazilian done by her. I’ve never had one but she’s a great price and from how she’s done my brows I know she’ll be great at it! Also, Alysia stands by her work. The last time I had my hair done I was unsure about the color and she told me if I wasn’t happy with it I could return for a ‘fix’. I told her to go way different and it scared me a lit
This email is in response to “grh” and any current or potential customers. Im disappointed to hear about this experience however I am glad that grh posted their review. Albeit a little unfavorable for Wax On, it provides an opportunity for the esthetician and I to review our policies and procedures and can be used as a learning experience. I certainly cant say whether this particular esthetician was feeling busy or feeling overwhelmed that particular day however, it shouldnt matter. Every client should receive the best service possible, the type of service that Wax On is not only known for but has won awards for!
