I wondered if I should write this review… I really like this place, and consider Well Suited to be a well kept secret. So, If I tell you how great it is, then you will go there, buy up all their stuff, and leave nothing for me…. which would be tragic, and prove that old addage “No good deed goes unpunished.”, but then I remembered that Portland, OR is notoriously badly dressed, and I relaxed.I can tell you they have fine 100% cashmere overcoats for $300 or less, and you won’t pay any attention. I can tell you that the quality of clothes they carry are so high, and so well put together, that you can enjoy them for years to come. I can even explain that while you are buying $50 shirts made in sweatshops in indonesia with designer names across the front, which you will be embarrased to wear next year, that here $50 will buy you at least two, extremely well made shirts of the finest material, that have timeless style, which you will look good in forever, or at least until you smear

I gave them three stars because they are reasonable, I love the clean lines style of renovation. They are great at hemming pants. We use them strictly for hemming/ cuffing our jeans and/or trousers period. D Z’s is close to our offices, so that is a plus. The first time I went to D Z’s, was to have a vintage dress fixed. Apparently, you cannot repair silk velvet. I was not aware of that, so after giving me the bad news, the clerk tosses the dress to me…unreal! That act lacks professionalism and just common courtesy. They appear to be disorganized and do not always operated in a timely manner. One time they could not find my husband’s six pairs of trousers. So I too, have been in the back room looking for my husband trousers, which we did find. They really need an efficiency expert to come by and streamline the process, and show them the reason for time axiologies in the western world. Pros + Reasonable for hemming pantsCons – Disorganized, have items finished on the

This shop really knows their trade. I’ve read some complaints regarding “personality” issues but given that many other shops offer “friendliness” but shoddy work, I think I would prefer the quality work offered her over trying to be my best friend. I personally have never experienced rudeness. They are matter of fact, professional and get the job done.Perhaps it has more to do with the approach being taken when staring the communication more than the shops reaction.Pros + Experts in all aspects of sewing

The Thu of Thu Fashion Is the best tailor I’ve ever encountered. She has a degree from Italy and skills beyond compare. If it weren’t for her, I’d not be able to wear my clothes–and I love clothes. I’m very short so most items have to be shortened or taken in; sometimes the design and construction make that challenging (I’ve had other tailors say they couldn’t do the work) but there’s no challenge too great for her. She has incredible atttention to detail and a real commitment to excellence–no short cuts ever. In a few cases, she’s had to essentially reconstruct the garment and it’s always a perfect job. And as she fits me, I can look around her shop (conveniently located at 42nd and Sandy) and see the loveliest dresses, all of her own design and making–and admire whatever suit she’s wearing; even if she bought the suit, she will have changed it some to suit her. She’s got a great eye for knowing what looks good on her–and on me. I know if I sketch a design she’d be able to make it

Holy toledo! Walls and walls of buttons! Ranging from regular old buttons, to dinosaur buttons, to random button grab bags! The buttons were a bit pricey but the mass selection makes up for it.
