Where is the Best Tailor in Denver, Colorado?
had lots of clothes altered here because of their #1 rating on citysearch (although noone has written reviews on them?)- hard to find places in denver!they did do a good job – but there is only a man working there – no women. i felt uncomfortable with some of the items i took. most looked good- but they are quite pricy.
I purchased my wedding dress (it was actually a “bridesmaid dress” without a train or beading and made from a cotton lace) from a nice salon in Cherry Creek. I needed basic alterations and because the salon is corporately run they have set prices that a manager confirmed was high. I was quoted $250 and she agreed that for what I needed it could be done cheaper elsewhere. The salon referred me to 3 tailors suggesting Dari’s as the best. Dari was fine, definitely not overly friendly. At the fitting we asked what the price would be, he said that it is charged by the hour and he thought it would take about 3-3.5 hours at about $50/hour. Being very easy going I went with it figuring he was respected in the area and a referral. I was given a date to pick it up and when I arrived that day I put on the dress and there were still temporary stitches in it and other things not finished.
