Where is the Best Sushi in Dallas, Texas?
The sushi here is pretty good and fairly reasonably priced. The restaurant never seems to be packed (although I’ve heard it is when they have karaoke). There isn’t really much of a scene here, the decor is plain with white tablecloths. It is a good place to go when you are looking for something low key, don’t want to dress up, or don’t want to wait for a table. It is always easy to talk since it is so quiet, and I have always been happy with the food (which I was initially nervous about at Sushi Sapporo since sushi often is not fresh when a restaurant is empty).Pros + Good sushi, no wait, quick serviceCons – If you are looking for a “fun” place to go, you won’t find it here.
In my near weekly experiences at this well kept Dallas secret some of the greatest attributes of the Fish are their high quality of food, diversity of dishes, and customer service. General Manager Danny Kim?s primary focus is how to please their patrons. He is constantly changing and evolving their menu to include new and exciting dishes at his clients? request. He always keeps their most popular dishes, but is continuously adding new dishes to the line up as a constant way to please their clients? pallets. The Service is second to none in this modern and cozy restaurant. No matter how busy they are ? from full occupancy to late afternoon lunch ? I always feel as though I am the only table in the restaurant. This is a quality that is seldom found in the service industry today. If you are looking for a warm and inviting sushi house in the Dallas area with high quality food and excellent service, then you should drop in. This restaurant is a must try for all Fish and Sushi Love
We switch off between Sushi Sam and a competitor in Southlake. Going both places three/four times a year. Have never had an unsatisfying meal at either place. Each restaurant has it’s different feel, different way of doing things! Sushi Sam is a wonderful restaurant, tho’ I’ve never tried any tempura items. All the rolls and sashimi are always great. Easy to manage portions and fresh ingredients. Maybe another reviewer found the waitstaff to be rude, but I’ve always thought they were professional if nothing else. They have even sold me sticky rice so I could make sushi at home…I still haven’t mastered the rice preparation so this is a huge help! Reviewing them makes me hungry. Here I come, Sushi Sam!
