Where is the Best Sushi in Cleveland, Ohio?
My friend introduced me to this lovely and ambient restaurant last week. I am so glad that she did, because everything about this place is just so charming! Sushi was super fresh and presented beautifully; fish cuts are very generous; Salmon Nanbanyaki was perfect with japanese fried rice; the owners are very nice people; servers were very attentive but not chatty; she suggested a delicious desert-cheese steemed cake with strawberries and whipped cream- it was the perfect ending to a great meal. I just can not say enough about this place, you have to try it for youself. You will not regret it!Pros + Super fresh fish, attentive server, delicious food
This place is by far the best sushi in Cleveland. Ignore the awards anyone gets – these are based on advertising. Pacific East has the freshest, best cuts you’ll get. My only complaint would be the lack of variety of rolls, because that’s more of an American adaptation of sushi and they’re a little too authentic to play that game. On the other hand, you can design your own so who cares. The service is rapid and frequent, and the quantities are hefty. The price is pretty much the same or a little less than the other places in town, but seriously, don’t be fooled by amateurs. If you try somewhere else, just commit to trying this place, too, so you can compare them. If you like QUALITY sushi and sashimi, PE is the scene for you. The food has always been good. Sushi is decent and the sashimi is always fresh. The sahimi platter is still a great value. My husband loves the grilled pime rib, and I enjoy the salmon dinner (neither japanese yet very good). The cold soba and the nabiyaki udon are both good. Take out is fast and sometimes efficient, mistakes are more common than before. Staff seems a little “chilly” now, especially the bald guy at the bar who tries to be “nice” but is not.
