Went to Uchi a couple weeks ago for the 5th or 6th time, but it was my 1st time to go for Happy Hour. They had pretty good happy hour prices. I think the spicy crunchy tuna was $7 and sake is $3… I will definitely be back.

My roommate and I frequently go to Zen on those nights you just don’t want to cook. We can get something fast that’s hot, tasty, and not absolutely terrible for you. Usual dishes are spicy shimp bowl and spicy chicken. Sometimes the spicy tuna rolls, too. Ask for white meat chicken. And we prefer to get brown rice. Zen is consistent and never disappoints. The people are always friendly, and while it’s never crowded for a late dinner, be careful when you go for lunch. Also, check nutritional info on their website if you’re concerned about that kind of thing. Not everything is “good” for you. Only big complaint – get lids that stay on the bowls the whole ride home!Pros + Consistent, Great deal, Ginger salad dressingCons – , Hard seats

Dont let the strip mall location turn you off, this is one of the best sushi restaurants in the Austin area. I have eaten here many times over the last few years and rarely have I not been happy with the experience. The sushi is fresh and the decor is very warm. Seating at the bar, regular tables or on the floor if you want the traditional feel. Good selection of rolls if thats your thing. For those that want cheap, try going for lunch. Pros + Quality, Selection, Decor, Lunch DealsCons – Price (where can you get good cheap sushi?, nowhere)

My boyfriend and I booked a room here for a weekend on priceline and got a great price! The bedding was ridiculously comfortable and there was a great flat screen tv and ipod player/alarm clock. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and very helpful as we were in town for a wedding and needed our clothes to be pressed. the only con was that we thought we were going to be able to walk to 6th street but didn’t want to walk that far (it’s really not that far but there’s a bridge) however, the cab ride wasn’t expensive at all. The pool was really nice as well, i believe it was a saltwater pool and is literally next to the river. I will definitely stay here the next time im in town. Pros + comfort, great staff, poolCons – wakling distance from downtown

This place is a joke. Their lunch crowd (I counted less than 10 people in a max capacity of 100+) should tell you something. Sushi (lunch A) was sub-par and room temp, decor was like Night at the Roxbury, humidity and smell inside were like beginning of summer in corduroys, and the music was constant, repeititve prepubescent Michael Jackson.Prices were ok, for lunch and parking was good, so that’s a plus. But nothing made up for what my friend ordered – beef Teriyaki a la McDonalds. I know a sushi specialty restaurant is not a good place to get a grilled dish, but my God this was terrible teriyaki. It tasted exactly like a BigMac, overdone, sliced and grilled with bonus flab and extra gristle. She considered sending it back, but decided that lunch should not take 3-4 hours. The waiter also decided not to remove it from the bill, despite the entire portion still sitting on the plate. I thought about taking it for my dog, but remembered how inconvenient it is to clean carpets a
