Where is the Best Steak in St. Louis, Missouri?

We visited Surf and Sirloin on Saturday night. It was busy, but our server never forgot about us. And the food, well, it was outstanding! I have never eaten better lamb chops or filet (with awesome bernaise sauce!) anywhere in St. Loius. We had no children in our party, but the children’s part of the menu was unlike any I have seen anywhere- how great to include gourmet selections for kids! The prices were quite reasonable as well, although I disagree with the previous reviewer – dinner with drinks for 2 hits more around $65-70 before tip. I would highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back. We look foward to trying some of their other dishes – the fish special on Saturday sounded incredible.Pros + PRIME Beef, Great value

My parents recommended Al?s for our 10th wedding anniversary dinner, but after reading a recent review I was hesitant. Well parents are always right. We had a fantastic evening. Al?s is not modern & glitzy, but it?s not stuffy and boring either, more classy and elegant, perfect for an intimate, cozy dinner. The wood work and fine art add a touch of sophistication and the spacious seating actually let us have a conversation undistracted from other diners. No noise or hustle-bustle either from an exposed kitchen which is the current trend of many restaurants today. The evening started with a great cocktail that I could tell was made with fresh squeezed juices. Our waiter brought out wonderful dark pumpernickel bread with a homemade blue cheese spread. I really liked that you order your meal in stages; you don?t have to decide everything all at once. The dinner is paced to us, not the waiter or turning over the table. I ordered a house salad and my husband had the lobster bisque. T

So you just left the Cards or Blues game on a Tuesday night and you’re starving? You’re saying to yourself, “Damn I could go for a good burger but just spent my entire week’s pay on $8.50 beers.” Yep,…

My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary at Sam’s. The meal was excellent. We both had prime rib, and we both definitely consider it to be the best prime rib around. The salads and baked potatoes were great, as well. It’s really nice to go into a restaurant and not have screaming children running all over the place. We had a reservation, and were promptly seated upon arrival. I don’t think I would try just walking in off the street. You might have a wait if you do. Take the extra few minutes it takes to make a reservation. The is one of the best places to celebrate special occasions, and is very romantic. WE LOVE IT!!Pros + Romantic, excellent food and service, no screaming kids runninng aroundCons – It is a tad pricey, but for special occasions, it is GREAT…
