Where is the Best Steak in San Antonio, Texas?
I have never been to TXLC but have heard everyone rave about not only the food but the service as well. As far as the reviews go it seems that everyone feels the same!!!!!!!!! I have three children and was glad to see that TXLC does offer a “family-friendly” environment. I usually choose to dine at restaurants with that type of environment more often. The instant offers on this site are great as well. I am looking forward to dining there with my family and i cannot wait to write another review after i have!! I enjoy steaks that are cooked t o perfection and it seems as though that is what is waiting for me. Along with the great service that the reviews keep mentioning this is going to be a great dining experience!!!!!!!!!!!I wish i had heard of this website before to read reviews on restaurants before we actually went out to them.
I had read the recent negative reviews of The Barn Door, but wife and I are just sick of those gimmicky chain “steak” restaurants that line the highways with their flashing neon signs down here, so we tonight we took a chance on The Barn Doort; but we went with our eyes wide open.First, I would say you should take the really negative reviews of The Barn Door with a grain of salt. Anyone can have a bad dining experience anytime, anywhere, so let’s assume that’s what happened in the case of those negative reviews. Tonight we went to The Barn Door at about 8 p.m., but it turned out to be Prom Night. It was so packed around the cash register with girls in prom gowns and boys in tuxes that I couldn’t find where to go to put my name down on the list to get a table. Fortunately, a member of the wait staff saw me wandering around like a lost sheep; she spontaneously took me in tow and got us a table after a wait of about 5-10 minutes. Before anything, I must say that the bread rolls are absolutely amazing. They’re moist and warm and soft. They even come with cinnamon butter. The rest of the meal is almost as good as the rolls. If you’re looking for the country taste, this restaurant will indulge your senses–and not just your tastebuds. The atmosphere of the restaurant looks and feels like the country. Even with scatterings of peanut shells on the floor enhance the atmosphere, bringing a barn-like feel to the restaurant.Pros + RollsCons – Very filling
This restaurant was recommended by a Professional Aquaintance. Finding it was easy once we were seated, the Waiters (2) were hovering over us, hurrying us to order. We ordered some drinks and said give us some time. The waiter left and came back imediately and continued to want us to order. I ordered an appetizer which is the Lump Crab avocado. He left and was back in 3 minutes wanting to finish the order. We fetlt pressured into order. This is an expensive restauraunt and we should be left to enjoy the experience of the location and the history of this restaurant. They brought out a Black eye pea soup that was cold and had absolutely no flavor even as I added a bunch of salt. The Crab was brought to us and It looked more like a dip and I thought it needed some chips or something to go with it. We ordered the Riby Eeye and Salmon.After what was in our opinion an very long time, I asked the waiter as to the Status of our food. He did not know and went to find out. He came back 5 minut
