Where is the Best Steak in Nashville, Tennessee?
Mike, the waiter, was over his head. Having heard this place was great we drove from St. Louis and they never seemed to even realize we were paying for the event. The steak was better than the sea bass, but this place could have been something special.Until, I read the reviews, I just thought it was us, or we just didn’t drink. It turns out, the poor service is the standard. Good luck to them in the future? There are too many choices on ways to spend $100 +Pros + The steak was goodCons – We felt like we were imposing
This is a great place for students on a budget. The portion sizes are large and the rolls are the best in town. When your meal comes, ask for more rolls and the waiter will box you up an entire to-go box of them!!! Love this place, friendly service, the waiters knew when to interrupt politely.Pros + great location to vandy, friendly staff, great valueCons – peanuts on the floor.
I love J Alexanders restaurant it is very consistent you can go to one in Atlanta or Nashville and you will have the same excellent meal. The prices are kind of high but you do seem to get alot for your money. I really enjoy the friendly staff and the ambience during the day is casual and well lit power lunch type crowd but at night can be romantic and casual or very dressy depending on your mood. They will make sure you are taken care of. I really like chain restaurants because they do have customer service in mind which it’s a pretty simple concept actually. This is why they are successful in my mind.My favorite things on the menu are the Fish of the day over Israeli couscous and coleslaw, Chicken salad with feta, Spinach and queso and the fresh Guacamole is great too. My boyfriend loves the french dip. The rattlesnake pasta is amazing enough for 2 adults! There really isn’t anything I would not eat off that menu. J Alexanders in my opinion is the best place in Nashville for a wonder
For all the hype and the social agenda of The Palm, I personally was not impressed. We had dinner there with three other couples and I can say the service was good and we had a great time because of the company. For the prices I would have expected the quality and originality of the food to be much better. For the price there are many more restaurants with more personality and flavor. I will say I was introduced to Chocolate Martinis at The Palm (they do have an excellent Chocolate Martini!) and I am now hooked on this delicious cocktail!Pros + Chocolate Martini, serviceCons – Value
A few weeks ago my husband and I dined at the Stock-Yard. We are Nashville natives and had heard conflicting reviews about the restaurant in its present day state. We decided to make our own opinions and made a reservation for early evening. Upon arrival our server, a young woman, was very friendly. She asked us for a drink order and we said we needed to look at the wine list (they have one of the most extensive and amazing). After careful consideration we ordered a moderately priced Cabernet Sauvignon. Our server then briefly yet eloquently told us about the specials, prices included, and went to get our wine. For the meal my husband and I started with the escargot. It was very tender and had lot’s of flavor and garlic. We then followed our servers suggestion and tried the Baby Mixed Salad. For our entree I ordered a 7oz. Filet with Oscar topping and my husband tried the special, a Kansas Strip with house seasoning. We decided to split two sides, a loaded potato and the cream of spina
