Where is the Best Steak in Milwaukee, Wisconsin?
My family went here for an anniversary. The food is fantastic, perfectly cooked and seasoned, decorated plates, friendly staff. Didn’t pick up dirty dishes from plate for quite a while. Had NY Strip. MMmmmm I’m still drooling. be sure to try the Saganaki flaming cheese for an appetizer. The “decor” of the restaurant could sure be updated. Most stuff looks to be from the 1980s. It could be “THE PLACE” in Waukesha County if it rennovated a bit.They also have a live piano player some nights. It is super loud when you’re in the bar area, but definately great. He even takes requests (for tips) 🙂 We had a great time. But, they should remodel and advertise a bit more!
Butch’s Old Casino Steakhouse is more than a great restaurant, it is a dining experience. The small, former disco reminds me of a Grandparent’s mid-70’s den- complete with fireplace and thick-pile carpet. I loved the old-fashioned relish tray and bread basket. The martini was good and the service was even better. Every Butch’s employee we spoke to was warm and friendly. The shrimp scampi is unbelievable and especially perfect paired with the 6 oz. Steer Filet. My fiance had the lamb chops which were also perfectly cooked and delicious. One mention to the hostess that is was my birthday, and we were served the most wonderful slice of homemade cheesecake (made by Butch’s wife) complete with strawberries and a candle. I cannot think of a negative comment about my experince at Butch’s. I would recommend it to all of my friends… and then go along with them when they try it. Make your reservations online and describe your dining preferences. They will cater to your every want/need. I thought valentine’s day was as good a time as any to try the Capital Grille. I made my reservations online with a preference for a booth away from the kitchen. We arrived to be greeted by a friendly valet staff (complimentary) and we entered the restaurant. We had a short wait until my prefered seat became available, so we pulled up to the bar where a very knowledgeable and friendly bartender made us our drinks to perfection. After pulling up the reservation, everyone from the host to the person who led us to the table and the server all called us by first name. Although it was very crowded, the setting was intimate and the decor was first class. During our dinner, we were greeted by one of the managers, who made us feel right at home. The food is, without a doubt, excellent. I have eaten there many times. The waitstaff service is also excellent. The problem is with the management/owner. We were there a week ago, and there was an incident that was handled rather badly by their staff. It made for an uncomfortable atmosphere and much embarrassment on our part. I called the next day and left a message for the manager/owner as well as used their website contact form to describe what happened. I have not, to the best of my knowledge, received any sort of a response or acknowledgment of any kind. I am very disappointed in their lack of customer service. I expected more from a higher-end restaurant. I can honestly say that McDonalds has given me better customer service in the complaint department than Jerry’s Old Town management has.I should note that I made it clear in my email to them that I was not expecting any sort of compensation. I asked only for a response from them like I would expect from any other company. T
