Where is the Best Steak in Las Vegas, Nevada?
Not a big steak connoisseur but do enjoy it from time to time. I had the 12 oz. filet mignon since I like my cuts pretty lean. Nicely peppered for seasoning. The waiters make sure your meat is cooked to perfection. The sides were fine but honestly I could do without….it’s all about the beef. Others in my party ordered the bone-in filet and bone-in ribeye….all thoroughly enjoyed it. I’ve also gone to Prime Steakhouse at the Bellagio, but I would say the dining experience and food is better here at Del Friscos.Pros + Nicely seasoned, tender cuts.Cons – None.
The problem here is that they price themselves similar to Bradley Ogdon, Delmonico’s, Rosemary’s, Andre’s, etc; but they are a large chain restaurant, and simply cannot deliver the expected level of service and quality of food. There was nothing ‘wrong’ with the service or our meal. But when all the steaks, a la carte, are $43 or more, my expectations rise higher than what a chain steak house can deliver. We chose this place because of its proximity to TI (where our friend was coming from) and because they had plenty of available reservations last minute on a Sat night. There were 3 adults & a toddler in our party–I called ahead of time to assure that they had highchairs and that it would be ok to bring the toddler. Surprisingly, we were given a prime table in the corner with views up and down the strip–and the tables are separated from each other by a good deal of distance. The ambience was very good—great views, not too loud, comfortable. The server was very nice, but again
Hubby and I took our son for his Sweet 16th Birthday dinner and was only disappointed in one thing! We were seated at a table and when asked to be moved to a booth… there was absolutely no problem and were very gracious about accomodating us. The service was excellent without being overly pretentious…just really nice. The food was excellent… cooked, baked or grilled to perfection… the Filets, Veal, Veggies, etc. The Creme Brulee was divine as was the Triple Cheesecake dessert dish. The waiter made some suggestions for the night specials and they were equally impressive. I would have rated this restaurant a 10 except for the fact that they do not uphold their dress code of business casual. They should really refuse service to those dressed in sweat pants, shorts, tennis shoes, etc. or else place them in a room separate from those dressed for fine dining!!! It is the only complaint I have however 🙂 Bon Appetit!Pros + Great Food, Dessert, Wine ListCons – Lack of Dr
