Where is the Best Steak in Houston, Texas?

Maybe I’m biased because I love beef, but this is some good eating. The 7oz and 10oz lunch sirloin steaks are lean and cooked perfectly. They have never overcooked my medium rare order, even when my co-workers have ordered well done on the same ticket. Awesome service too, esp. for lunch when you’re in a hurry but still want to enjoy a good meal.

First off, the service was spot on. I haven’t had service that was so perfect in a very long time. We had a girl waitress who was kind, attentive enough, not overbearing, AND had great recommendations in both food and wine choices. She was always there when we needed her – almost like she had ESP! She recommended the salmon for my BF after he asked her about a few dishes. The salmon was prepared in a mustard sauce and was amazing ( I had a taste). I don’t like salmon that much, he always has me taste it by putting a bite on my plate and this time I finished my bite and went back for more. It was cooked perfectly and had a wonderful flavor. I had the ravioli with the filling of the day which was a chicken and beef together. The beef overpowered the chicken a tad but the flavors all together were fabulous and I ate every bite whick I also never do. The atmosphere is more casual than I had anticipated but you could dress nicely or casual and feel just fine fitting in. The only

When I am craving crab, I go to Trulucks. Their crab claw platter (just like the one pictured) is second to none in town – in fact, I’m don’t know of another place I’d go for the same meal. Definitely an upscale place, the vibe is a bit old world traditional – plush rounded booths, shiny dark wood accents. The waiter we had was almost overly attentive so the service was excellent if not a bit overwhelming at times. Be prepared to get your hands a little dirty when you dig into the crab claws. You will be amply rewarded with sweet tasty crab that is delicious by itself or dipped rich drawn butter. The carrot cake dessert is large enough for 4, but sinfully delicious and moist, exactly how carrot cake should taste. The happy hour in the bar area really good too – everything is half off and the cocktails are extremely good (about $5). My favorite is the lychee martini and the mojito, both prepared with exactly the right amount of liquor. The happy hour food does a great job of makin

The SceneVoid of American trendiness, simple Charivari dodges the nearby hip-zone of its bustling Midtown locale with a tableau so authentically European, you could be in a roomy Berlin bistro. Showy stemware, doily-fitted trays, and silver dome-covered serving plates make dramatic table presentations, attracting power suits at lunch and a mature set by night. The FoodChef-owner Johann Schuster and German wife Irmgard-Maria, gently welcome you with baguettes and ethereal caviar mousse. Hefty flavor-packed portions will warm your winter-shivering bones but may prove heavy for Southern palates. Robust eaters relish the crisp Wiener Schnitzel splayed full-plate; “Zurich style” veal with rich champignon cream sauce; or salmon gratin bathed in beurre blanc. Just light: Beef carpaccio, or al dente risotto, fragrant with white wine, asparagus, forest mushrooms and arugula. Desserts are serious. Don’t miss chocolate mousse “dialogue” or homemade ice cream.

They grill steak on an open pit every Tuesday and Sunday. The quality is excellent and very rerasonable. Draft beer is good and cold and the taps are kept clean – I’ve never had a flat beer or one that tasted bad. There is a good draft selection as well. If you like NTN Trivia or poker, they have it and will turn it on for you, even during a big sports night. Downside to that “Longest Bar in Texas” thing: The bartenders need roller skates to keep up and it’s easy to be forgotten when the staff is light. Tip: Go when Shannon’s working. She’s super friendly and takes excellent care of her customers.Pros + Friendly Place with Cold Beer & Good PricesCons – The rap videos in the line-up don’t fit the crowd
