Where is the Best Steak in Houston, Texas?

My friend & I had the crab cake & lobster bisque for the appetizer. The crab cake was good. However, I was disappointed w/ the lobster bisque. The bisque just didn’t have good flavor. We had the Cajun ribeye & the bone-in ribeye for the entree. The Cajun ribeye was not good, very dry even though it was medium. The bone-in ribeye was much better, very good flavor. Our waiter was very friendly & the service was excellent.Pros + food & service

Went for the first time on Father’s day with reservations easily had through their web page. We were promptly seated and served. The steaks were appropriately cooked and marbled while the oysters Rockefeller were spot on. While I thought the quality of steak was comparable to Sullivans or Pappa Brothers, my dad thought V&A was better. Similar to Ruth Chris, they use quite a bit of butter and a tad of seasoning; I typically can go without the butter, but the steak was quite good none the less. The daily specials sounded delicious, but were overpriced. Side dishes sounded generic and bland — we skipped them and added salads instead. The atmosphere is upscale and a half-notch above the standard upscale steakhouses mentioned above. They have an excellent desert menu, with a wide variety of Cognac, brandy, and dessert wines.Pros + Good Service, Nice atmosphereCons – Pricey

We visit Flemings every 5-6 weeks always have wonderful experience. Their entrees are extremely well done and the sides are great, so in general you can’t go wrong with any selections (qualifying that, I’ve never tried their seafood entrees). The relish tray served upon arrival is very nice touch and gives you an opportunity to have a cocktail and munch before you order. The iceberg wedge is my favorite salad, but if you have the opportunity for their Clam Chowder, you should pass it up. Nice broth, not “gravy like”, few small pieces of potato, and lots of claims with out overbearing spices. The currently Prix Fixe menu has a roasted Cabernet braised New Zealand Lamb Shank pan jus with cannellini beans on the Winter Prix Fixe menu that is outstanding. The Prix Fixe menus are great value and always some different and delightful. However, I do have a few complaints: 1. PARKING, Flemings is one of those who prefer to reserve the “close to the door” parking spots for their Valet (sh

Great atmosphere – checkGreat food – checkGreat service – not even close. When going to restaurants of this nature (i.e. not Outback), I would hope that the service is of a much higher standard. Unfortunately this was not the case on my first visit to this restaurant. This was by far the quickest dinner seating I had gone through not including meals at Chilis. By the time I was seated until we were asked for deserts it was 40 minutes. The main course was brought to our table before we had finished the glasses of wine that accompanied our appetizers. Then, we were offered the desert menu and then our check before we had finished the wine that came with our main course!! I understand the need to “turn over tables” but this was ridiculous in a restaurant that was not full and with no one waiting for a table. To top it off, we were asked by several different waiters if we were ready to pay. Here is a clue, when my credit card is sitting in the folder, then I am ready to pay. The wait sta

In my honest opinion, I would probably never return to this restaurant. And it wasn’t because the food wasn’t good. Well at least not after they got it right the second time around! I asked for medium on my steak and they over cooked it (well done to a CRISP!) Granted they did get me a new steak which looked to be a bigger portion than the first, and cooked exactly as it should have been THE FIRST TIME! Service got 2 stars for multiple reasons. Our food wasn’t cooked right the first time, the waiter was a bit rude and snobbish. My date asked for a straw 3 times before she finally got one! They picked up our plates saying they would pack the left overs and bring it back to table.. NEVER HAPPENED! The manager however had to come in and save the day by offering a 20% discount due to their mess up. Helps a little but I had already lost my appetite by the time the food came around (hence the reason for a “dogie bag” ).So over all, paid lots of $$$ for a por
