Where is the Best Steak in Houston, Texas?
I love the menu and the daily specials are always great. Everything I have had has been cooked to perfection. I’m pretty critical. The food is phenomenal.You don’t want to miss it! I went there for dinner with my husband and we had a great dinner. The food and the service was excellent!! I had the filet, he had the bone in rib eye, both cooked to perfection! I went back a couple of weeks later for lunch with my aunt, and the food was great, but the service was horrible. We had the Wednesday pork chop special, delicious! I don’t drink soda, so I just had water…servers don’t like that. Anyway, I think he re-filled my glass only once the whole time we were there. I had to stop at a nearby gas station for a bottled water after leaving. I didn’t finish my lunch, so I asked for it to go, and he accidentally threw it away instead of boxing it up…oops! Huge difference between our dinner experience and luch experience! I’m going back for lunch today, so we’ll see if I just happened to get a bad waiter the last time there. We love this place. Great food – try the curries on Wednesday evenings, a choice from 7 curries and a pint for $16.Every week night finds some special, Steak, Burger, Curry, Meatballs, Fish & Chips, and all top notch food.The beers’s a tiny bit pricey – although you can always drink “lite” beer for next to nothing. Loads of choice, real British Ale and a British Boozer atmosphere to match.The star of the show is George, the surfer barman, if you’re lucky enough to get in while he’s working, he’s incredibly knowledgeable about what’s going on in Houston and elsewhere, and will always point you inthe right direction about what’s on the menu, and more importantly, what’s off the menu – there’s always loads of stuff not listed.Just try it.Pros + Great Food, great beer, and the surfer barman – fantasticCons – A tiny bit pricey but hey, it’s worth it.
