Where is the Best Steak in Honolulu, Hawaii?
The people of Hawaii are known the world over for their warmth, and the ability to make people feel very welcome. This is exactly what I found after visiting this establishment. The staff was friendly, the food good & properly prepared. The views from the windows was breath taking, the atmosphere inside? GREAT . After traveling the world over and sampling different menus, I would consider this one of the best I have had the pleasure of finding. The staff deserves a pat on the back for a job well done, Mahalo for the experience I was expecting to find while I was visiting. I will return again, and again to enjoy the food, and the atmosphere.
I dined at the Hawaii store and had an incredible experience. The ocean view was great and the food was plentiful and tasty. I had the Filet with Mushroom and Bleu cheese. The steak was tender and the flavor just bursted in my mouth. Hats off to the chef. My wife had the Salmon Caesar and said the dressing was delightful and that the Salmon was “soft” and prepared just right. As for the service, our waitress was the greatest. She was so bubbly and seemed to enjoy all her customers. I felt very comfortable there. I noticed your manager conversing with his employees and saying some encouraging things to his employees. He seemed close and personal with them, something a restaurant needs. All in all I rate this restaurant a perfect 10!!!!
Located right next to the Hawaii Prince Hotel by the wharf, this is a nice find. We went on a Thursday night and the place was full, yet it didn’t feel overly crowded. The service here was great and everyone is really friendly.We got seated by the open windows and the local band made it a great way to start off the evening.Food here is good, but more on the end of a Pub. If you’re looking for that Romantic dinner spot to get dressed up for this isn’t the place. It’s very casual here.I recommend getting the French Onion Soup. It’s actually one of the better ones I’ve had in a long long time.Pros + Hidden Gem, Afternoon and Late Night Menu are a good value
We had a very large group and NO reservation, yet they were able to accomodate us in a rather short amount of time. (very impressive!) The food was delicious however, even though I thought I was ordering a pretty ‘tame’ steak (the description didn’t go into detail about how much pepper they’d been putting on it), it was spicy. So, if you like highly spiced foods, then you’ll love this place. The desserts were to die for! Made the evening!
The restaurant is located in what appears to be a small standalone warehouse type complex on a hill off Kaahumanu Street. Once in, the decor is rustic, the lighting in the evenings is muted and overall a very pleasant comfortable setting. The parking is usually adequate in the evenings and the service is good. It has a small private dining area as well as the main dining area and bar. Reservations are recommended.They have a good basic salad bar with many vegetable selections, condiments and hot bread which should please the majority of us. Actually, this is one of the my personal favorite salad bars.They serve charcoal grilled mostly American comfort food at a reasonable price. You can find ribs, shrimp scampi, steaks, teriyaki meats, scallops, soups etc.The food is cooked properly, plated nicely and tasty. I been going here for years and not had a bad meal.Overall this restaurant is a good value and one of best places to eat in this neck of the woods.Pros + Good value in a
