Just finished a great dinner at the Chophouse. Started with a house Red Ale, excellent. Food was very good, they serve cornbread in a small cast iron skillet with every meal, so good it melts in your mouth, could have been dessert! I had the gorgonzola filet, very tender and great taste. Wife had peppercorn new york strip, sad to…

Had a great pizza at Bastien’s. It was a flat square vegetarian pizza. Very good, the salad came with the restaurants own dressing which was low fat. The bread sticks were also very good and came with pizza sauce. The service was very quick and friendly.

Much like others in the chain, it’s a solid steakhouse. The food prep is good, the service is generally better than in most places and the prices are higher (probably too high). This one happens to be in a great location, which allows you to have a pre-dinner or post-dinner stroll that is either fun or possibly romantic (if you haead toward the water). Our waiter Nick was excellent. Outstanding service, great attitude and one of the hgihlights of the trip. if you can sit in his section, go for it. He may not be the most traditional waiter but he knows what he’s doing and he takes the stuffiness out of the experience. The food was solid. Not the best steak I’ve ever had but it was tasty. I’m not sure it’s worth the money but because of the location and the atmosphere and Nick, it was worth it to usPros + Ask for Nick for great serviceCons – expensive

Happy hour specials are great with $4.50 (maybe $4.95) apps, including a half dozen oysters and $2 to $2.50 drinks (wine, well, draft Coors Light). The oysters were great and the artichoke dip was not so great, a bit runny and needed a bit of spice. When our party arrived we went into the dining room for dinner. The view for dinner was great as was the view for happy hour on the patio. The sourdough bread was wonderful, the salads were pretty good. We ordered six entrees and satisfaction varied. The people who ordered red meat were not overly impressed while those who ordered seafood or chicken were happy. I had the Sea Bass Napoleon and it was outstanding. The dessert tray is very tempting with a lot of great choices. We settled on the Tiramisu. The espresso and cappuccino were also very good.Overall, a very good place to go to for seafood. The views are
