Where is the Best Steak in Denver, Colorado?
My husband and I visited Tuesday, Sept. 20th and enjoyed the experience. There is valet parking, but it is complimentary. My husband decided to park on the side though. Everyone from the valet (who opened the door for our entry), hostess, waiter and other wait staff were wonderful. We ordered an appetizer, steaks, side dish and dessert. Although we had no alcoholic beverages, the bill was just shy of $100. A place we’ll visit for special occassions only. Our 1 month old daughter was happily accepted by the staff.Pros + decor/lighting, friendly service, south denver locationCons – a la carte meals, adult high end dining
This Texas Roadhouse is my favorite in Colorado. The service is always friendly, and can I just say that the bottomless dinner rolls with cinnamon butter are absolutely fabulous (even if my waistline doesn’t agree). The bucket of peanuts on the table is a nice touch. My first time there, someone told me that I could just throw the shells on the ground. I used to, but I didn’t see anyone else do it, so I don’t know if that’s changed or not. Take a chance if you feel like it. What’s the harm?I reccommend not ordering the sweet potato, no matter how much it may be calling to you. The potato is really small (even though they try to make up for it with brown sugar and cinnamon butter). For a side, I would get the house salad to balance out the the calorie rich lunch or dinner you will order. Even if you don’t like salad, the croutons are the best I’ve ever tasted, and they put hard boiled egg bits on top (much better than it sounds).Any steak you order will be juicy and delicious, and
We arrived to the 16th St Mall by cab. We we’re staving so Willie G’s looked like an inviting place. The menu was available in the lobby with prices. Once inside we we’re seated at the back of bar area. Probably because of our hiking attire. The service from the staff was excellent and very professional. We did suspect the pricing was just a tad higher than advertised however it was worth a few extra. I had the Almond Trout with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. We had an overall great dining experience. The staff was also very through in giving us directions to the best night spots. We were there on a Wednesday night. Pros + Location in the middle of 16th St Mall area. Cons – Parking didn’t appear to be close but we arrived by cab.
My friends and I go here once in a while on Friday night for drinksGood professional crowd, good live music, more seating than on previous visits. After a few good drinks, our last one was skimpy. I’m not sure if our 20 year old waitress spilled them, but my friend barely got 2 sips of Grand Marnier. After mentioing it to the waitress, she just looked at it puzzled. Not good considering what they charge for drinks. Also, a distinct smell of sewer problems near the bathroom. Not good for even a neighborhood restaurant let alone an upscale one.Pros + nice crowd, excellent service, good music, good place to go on Friday nightCons – Maybe skip that last drink, need to fix “sewer smell”
