Where is the Best Steak in Charleston, South Carolina?
The food is very good – The salads are FANTASTIC, the rolls are out of this world, and the french fries are some of the best I’ve ever tasted. I had fried shrimp – I swear they gave me an entire pound! My hubby had the prime rib. It was good, but not as good as the prime rib at T-Bonz. The second vist, I had a quesadilla – which was massive and flavorful, and my husband had the chicken parmesan – the poultry was moist and the entree was very good. Come early and make sure you call ahead. It’s parties or even a business lunch.

How do you do such a great job with the lunch crowd and then turn out the most horrible meal ever. There were ten of us and NO ONE had a good meal. Oh excuse me one did, she had the mussels. All the ones that had the fish special all said it was over cooked. We all just paid the super high prices rather than make a scene.Won’t go back, save yourself the trip. Maybe if they got a new chef I would consider. Pros + Nice ambience, valet parking a plus in downtownCons – Service was slow, food horrible, over priced
My first review. My coworkers and I are experts at finding great places to eat lunch (I’m pretty good at eating dinner, too). We have a tradition with Brecks. If we bring someone for the first time, we buy their meal. Most of my friends have perpetuated the ritual. It’s not expensive and you just showed somebody a true gem. The setting in North Chuck is not fancy but Brecks more than makes up for it with the best lunch specials in the tri-county. NY Strip, baked potato, salad, drink for under 10…are you out of your mind? All cuts of meat here are first rate and I’ve yet to have a waitress that wasn’t a pure delight. If you’ve never been to Brecks, stop. Stop what you’re doing right now, get in your car, drive to Brecks and eat. Then come back and read this: “I told you so.”
