Where is the Best Steak in Boulder, Colorado?
The restaurant is absolutely fantastic. The food was great and the service was very friendly as many of their patrons say. I just don’t understand why AAA only gives the 2 diamonds to them where Mobil which is much more rigid than AAA requirements gave its 3 star. Anyway, if you are looking for somewhere romantic with a little bit of jazz accent, great food but less than $30entree(1 or 2 might be over $30) , and a friendly service, this place is the best place to go. I would say that the top 3 restaurants in Boulder are probably Flagstaff House, Q’s, and John’s. Although john’s does not have expensive items such as Truffle or Caviar, their dishes are very creative and sophisticated. Pros + Food, Service
My boyfriend and I meandered in for our first time after a long day’s work and in need of a celebratory meal and glass of wine. We were immediately impressed with our server’s (Nate) impeccable timing, attention to detail, politeness and attentiveness. Our food came quickly, was fresh, was beautifully arranged and was cooked exactly as requested. Feeling satisfied with our meal, the service, and quite lucky for picking such a wonderful restaurant so randomly, we left and shortly realized I had left the rest of my meal back at the restaurant. When we returned, it had been thrown away, but the staff quickly offered us to cook us up another Filet Mignon Oscar (a $30.00 meal) on the fly for no charge.(!) As I waited to hear the status of my forgotten meal, I was kindly approached by four different staff members who inquired if they could in some way help me or make me more comfortable. *Unbelievable service*. I attended a party in their private backroom that had around 50 people. The room was great, separated from the rest of the diners and very accomodating. The service, however, is the reason I gave this review a 3 instead of a 4. They didn’t bring everyone drinks and it took almost 40 minutes for our food to be served. (There were 4 preselected entrees to choose from). This is understandable as there was quite a large group. However they did not serve any appetizers like a salad or bread during the wait so all the guests were very hungry by the time the food arrived. And then even when the food arrived the portions were not very large. I don’t need to eat a lot and it was barely enough to satisfy me so I can only guess that some guests were left not fully satisfied. However, the food is very good and usually for a small group or a couple, it is definitely above average. And the atmosphere, too, is nice. Pros + food, wine, atmosphereCons – service
