Where is the Best Steak in Boston, Massachusetts?

Grill 23 is a great restaurant for a special occasion or a guys/girls night out. The meat is very good and the appetizers are quite niece too. If you don’t like steak, try the yellow-tail entree. This Sushi-grade dish is a fantastic alternative to red meat. There is an impressive wine list and some interesting cocktails to choose from. Or, if you want to keep it simple there are plenty of beers for about $5. All together this is a nice alternative to S&W or Davios if you are looking for a new steak house. However, on balance, we prefer Davios.Pros + Entrees and apps are greatCons – Sides are nothing to write about.

My girlfriend and I went to the Independent on 12/22/2003. We were 10 minutes late for a 7pm reservation and we were told (not asked) to wait for ten minutes. The restaurant was maybe 1/4 full. We were directed to the bar to wait where it took 7 minutes to get a glass of water. There were 5 people sitting at the bar INCLUDING US. Once we were seated it took another 15-20 minutes to get bread, after we asked for it. The only good thing was the food.

The steaks and side dishes were outstanding. Incredible. My dinner party loved it. The atmostphere was nicely traditional. Yet it was rather noisy on a Saturday night so we couldn’t easily talk over the table. Service was very nice. But our food took over an hour and a half to prepare. When asked they said the medium well steaks take longer. I suggest you order a salad to give you something to do while waiting, or order ahead (an option?), or be madly in love with the person next to you so time flys. Since food quality can’t be matched keep this place on your list to consider.Pros + Great food, Polished serviceCons – , Noisy on weekend, Expensive

we went last night and although the service was a bit slow, it was busy and our water was always filled. the asparagus was delicious as was my filet mignon perfectly done in medium rare. they ran out of prime rib so my boyfriend had to have the ribeye, but he was very happy with it – also perfectly done in medium rare. you also get a salad, choice of potato and some veggies with your entree, and all for a great price! not the best, atmosphere, a little loud and with tvs at the bar so you’ll hear cheers once in a while, but a great place to go out if you’re looking for that kind of mood.Pros + prices, steaksCons – parking, service, ambience

Hands down, the best steakhouse around in Boston outside of the pricey steakhouses in Boston, without the pretentiousness. The Roadhouse offers steak the size of a poodle depending on which cut you want. The baby back ribs are lovely – covered in great BBQ sauce, and indeed, fall off the bone good. The ribeye has such a nice flavor to it. Easily the best house salad I’ve ever had…seriously (be sure to order it with everything on it – cheese, eggs, you name it, it’s on there). And of course, that warm bread with the cinnamon butter everyone raves about. If you’re going to go, be sure to call ahead on the weekends – at least two hours in advance (they’re always packed – which is a pretty good sign to it’s quality). Be prepared for a loud place, but this place is best in groups anyway. A fun night out, and I would find it hard to believe if anyone here had left unsatisfied.Pros + The food. Have never had a bad anything here.Cons – The wait – be sure to call ahead, and
