My visit here marked my first experience with churrascaria, brazilian steakhouse, a rodizio style dining. I have to say I had an excelent time! Food: It’s like a meat parade. Almost like every thirty seconds or so, a Gaucho (a brazilian Chef) would come by the table with a long skewer with glistening meaty goodness. All of the meats I had were great and I can’t believe I consumed this much steak in one sitting…(wow!). On this particular night, it seemed like I had more than ten different types of steakIn addition to the endless parade of meats, there was a salad bar and hot sides buffet for accompaniments. Service: Service was great. Our waiter was charming and slightly flirtatious with the ladies, beautifully capitalizing on Latin American stereotypes. I definitely had multiple caipirinhas the most famouse brazilian drink and a lovely dessert. (by the way, the capirinha here, is delicious! I must acquire the ingredients so I can make them at home.) I went to Ken’s tonight for dinner and I was not impressed. When I spend $100 for a meal for two people, I expect more then I can make at home. We were seated in the first 20 minutes we were in the restaurant, which was nice, not too long of a wait. When we were seated, I don’t think our waitress was that attentive to our needs, all though it was a busy night there, she could have come around more often. Second, the table we sat in was in a high traffic area, and when people walked by you could feel the floor moving and it rattled the table, that was a little annoying. The food: the bread basket was a nice start, the salad was boring but the dressing was good, it was Ken’s, the Steak was ordinary…my grill does the same, the mashed potatoes tasted boxed and the butternut squash was not bad. My husband?s food was the same as mine. We got dessert to go, and again nothing special. I had never been to Ken’s and wanted to try it. Well now the thrill is gone. I would not go back t

Great wine, great company and great cooking made this meal. Most of our dinners were fine dining on this trip and I always have trouble reviewing a steak house. You either know how to cook meat or you don’t… the décor is usually pretty much wood and velvet. There really isn’t much to choose between high end steak houses and…

Flemings is a traditional steakhouse and proud of it. The restaurant is furnished in dark woods with white linens unless of course youd like a black napkin so you dont get white fibers on your pants. Ive never heard of a restaurant doing this and I find it a little strange. Why would the napkins be sheddingEverything is a la carte and their steaks stick to the traditional doneness scale. If youre looking for something other than steak there really isnt a whole lot. One or two pasta and seafood dishes is all youll find. They do however offer to do your steak pretty much any way you please even if its not on the menu including Oscar Au Poivre with crab meat etc.The wait staff we experienced were a little too over-helpful more to the point of hovering and too needy in asking if everything was okay. The restaurant is overall a good experience the blue cheese mashed potatoes are delicious.
