I have read several negative reviews but decided to give this place a chance. It seems there are two sites in Baltimore – Water Street and Pier 5. On TripAdvisor, the Pier 5 location has no reviews, but is listed as being in Washington D.C. It isn’t. It is in the Baltimore Inner Harbor, hence the confusion. This review is…

Jordan’s has a charming attitude complete with 3 piece ensemble for your listening pleasure. Our party consisted of 4 adults out for dinner with reservations at 7:30 PM. The food was done well when it came warm and the service was OK.Our order consisted of 2 Fillets (one choice and 1 prime), 1 Short Ribs and 1 New Zealand rac of Lamb. Two sides, 1 asparagus and 1 brocolli were ordered for the table. The steaks arrived chilled as did the veggies and the steaks were returned. The short ribs were excellent as was the lamb, but the lamb’s portion was not equal to the heafty price. The Bill was $300 with a bottle of wine. A nice evening but over priced and well over-rated.Pros + Nice AmbienceCons – Food temp, portions and price

The food was excellent, especially the calamari. The beef was so tender it practically melts in your mouth. The service was also very good. But the atmosphere left something to be desired, they have an open kitchen- ineresting in theory, but it means that it was hard to hear over the din of dinnerware and silverware being stacked, and when you add that to the large dining room it was really hard to talk to the other members of our party. The location is nice, but the valet was disorganized- you might want to consider the parking lot just a few blocks away. For comprable food, but better ambiance, try Jordan’s in Ellicott City, or Lewnes in Annapolis.Pros + good food serviceCons – noisy to the point of annoying

In general, my feeling is that if you are going to go out for steak at a steak house then you should pony up and go to the best. $20-30 a steak is pricy…but they know how to make an exceptional steak…and it is ususally quite the experience as a whole. Most of the mid-range chains charge 15-20 for a steak and you would be better off going to Fresh Fields and just pick up a choice piece of meat and some butter and hitting the stove.
