I recently went to the Texas Land and Cattle by Lakeline mall. At first, I was a little discouraged by the look of the place. It seemed a little to dark and they only played country music. However, I went to sit at the bar and decided to have a beer. I asked for a bottle and he told me that they have my brand of beer on tap for only a dollar. It was their happy hour. Instead of worrying about making money, the bartender took care of me. Since then, I have visited this bar many times. Not only does the bartender know my name, but he’ll have a drink ready for me before I sit down. I would recommend this particular bar over any other in the Lakeline Mall area. What they lack in selection, they make up for in great service.Pros + Inexpensive, Service, Attractive bartendersCons – , Music, No smoking

i sat at the sushi bar and had briana as my server. she seemed to have great knowledge of the menu and right off the bat brought up the specials. my date and i ordered a bottle of sake and basically left our sushi up to alan our sushi chef.he started us with torched escolar which was fabulous and then a few off menu items such as yellow tail with some kind of an orange sauce and goat cheese.the kitchen food was also fabulous. it was happy hour so we got some calamari and pot stickers for only 5 dollars each. the pot stickers had some cherries with it which was awesome.my favorite app was the blue crab cake. it had a puree with a curry taste to it as well as some green sauce. not sure what that was but it was great.all in all everything was great. the manager even came up to ask us how everything was. i highly recommend this place. sitting at the sushi bar was a great time. the sushi chefs were drinking with us and all in all it was a full atmosphere.Pros + fresh fish, grea

My boyfriend and I booked a room here for a weekend on priceline and got a great price! The bedding was ridiculously comfortable and there was a great flat screen tv and ipod player/alarm clock. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and very helpful as we were in town for a wedding and needed our clothes to be pressed. the only con was that we thought we were going to be able to walk to 6th street but didn’t want to walk that far (it’s really not that far but there’s a bridge) however, the cab ride wasn’t expensive at all. The pool was really nice as well, i believe it was a saltwater pool and is literally next to the river. I will definitely stay here the next time im in town. Pros + comfort, great staff, poolCons – wakling distance from downtown

My S.O. and I dropped by the Bistro at a family member’s recommendation. We couldn’t decide between the sushi bar and the dining room, but eventually we opted for the plush chairs and white tablecloths in the main room (you can get sushi anywhere in the place). There are, incidentally, some pretty excellent paintings on the walls, which don’t exactly make sense alongside the blue aquariums of fake jellyfish and waterfalls, but whatever. My S.O. and I both get easily overwhelmed by the size of entrees, and the Bistro’s menu was so varied and long, we decided it would be a great chance to taste a lot of little things. We started backwards, in a way, moving from potstickers to the lamb chops appetizer (accompanied by a good glass of cab), then switching to the sushi menu (and sauv blanc). Apologies to food purists who would have reversed the order, but we just ordered what sounded good as we felt like it, and man, it was good that way. I especially recommend the lamb (!!!) and the spicy

The bands are usually very good. Dance space is limited and they have tables on the dance floor. Also, when bands like Suede play people fill the dance floor and just watch.. People, this is a COVER BAND.. let the people who want to dance use the dance floor. I would like to see management control this more. All it takes is an announcement that the floor is for dancing, you can watch from anywhere. Another complaint is with the smoking in the bar area. I realize they somehow have special permission to allow smoking, but you really need to ban CIGARS from the area since you spent all the money on having a CIGAR ROOM to smoke in. There is nothing more offensive than a Ahnold Schwartzennegar wannabe pretending to smoke his cheap stogie in a crowded room. Lastly, the bartenders can be slow. It’s not uncommon for them to be chatting amongst themselves when there is a line 3 deep at the bar waiting for service. If they address these three issues, its a great place for the 30 to 55 crowd..
