Where is the Best Steak in Atlanta, Georgia?

While we arrive rather early for a meal (about 6p), my wife and I were still forced to wait for almost 45 minutes for a table. The seafood is good, my favorite being the grouper. My wife is a steak lover, and this wasn’t the place for her. Much better steaks are available for a lesser price at other places. The salad is incredible – try the house dressing. Ambience is nice, children are always there, but it’s not somewhere I would take a child. After salad, meal and drinks, our check came to a total of $65.00. Not a bad price, but not what we were expecting on an average week night meal. This is probably somewhere I would reserve for a more special occasion.Pros + Staff is excellent, Cons – Wait is extreme

For years I have wanted to try the infamous Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. My experience was worth the wait. We started in the bar for a cocktail and the bartender was very welcoming and poured a generous drink. We were promptly seated at our reservation time and our waitress had excellent attention to detail. I started with the wedge salad and was pleased with the preparation. For main course, I tried the Petite Filet and Shrimp. The filet was medium, exactly how requested. The shrimp were huge Gulf Shrimp and were very fresh. I was delighted. Overall, the dining experience was excellent for food, service and atmosphere.

Our first trip to Kevin Rathbun’s Steaks and we travel there for steaks. I wanted to try the dry-aged steak and compare that to Bones, Chops, Prime, Killer Creek, Stoney River, MCKENDrick’s, and other steakhouses I have visited. The service was great and I ordered the Cowboy Ribeye dry-aged and my lady ordered the Steak Diane. All in all we will return, but the overall meal was just okay. We did not get to the great status. The Steak Diane’s sauce and the sides were a little salty. In both cases, the steak itself was good and well received, but we can recall several meals getting up from the table saying this was a great meal. Not last night, just saying it was alright-good. We have tried all kinds of restaurants in the Atlanta area, as well as, other major citys. For steak in Atlanta, I still have my favorite and that has not changed based on my 12/11/08 meal. Hoping for the best my next time around at Kevin Rathbun Steak, Kevin was there, but not on the grill – but near

My husband and I have eaten at Dantanna’s on several occasions. The food has always tasted fresh and delicous, with one exception the bread. We didn’t care for the bread. As for the desserts, they still have the Jack Daniels cake on their menu which isn’t served anymore according to one of the waiters. However, the banana dessert is very good.

We’ve been here before, and didn’t really care for a bunch of appetizers we’d ordered the first time (risotto baIIs is the only one I can remember). The burger was good I think though.Last weekend, our second trip, we ordered mussels as an app, and they were delicious. How can little succulent morsels of seafood floating in a garlic cream sauce with buttery garlic bread to sop it all up not be good? I’m sure it’s possible, but not here.Next we had a steak salad and the prime rib (queen cut). I was expecting a little tiny cut, but this thing was huge. And awesome. And it was the perfect done-ness (med rare). The salad wasn’t anything special, but wasn’t bad either. The steak on it was a little tough, but cooked perfectly. I ordered a cosmo, which was $12. They bring it out in two parts: the martini glass filled with cosmoliciousness, and a brandy sniffer type glass filled with ice and another small bottle filled with more martini (so you can refill later). I think
