When I first saw the menu, I knew we had chosen the right place for our anniversary. All steak houses have steak, but The Capital Grille offered many seafood options as well, I wanted it all. We shared classics like shrimp cocktail, clam chowder, and ceasar salad for our appetizers. My wife chose the live Maine lobster, and I had decided to get a steak before we ever made the reservation. There were so many steaks to choose from but I decided on the specialty of the house, the dry aged porterhouse. There were many other selections that I also wanted to try, so when our server explained that I could basically create my own steak, I mixed and matched some of the suggestions on the menu and had my porterhouse with the porcini mushroom rub and the sauteed wild mushrooms and cippolini onions. The most tender and flavorful steak I have ever put in my mouth. The essence of fig and balsamico were perfect compliments to the steak. My wife’s lobster was exceptional. We also shared the best cream

Took my wife for dinner on a tuesday nite. Had reservations but not needed. Really like the small and intimate atmosphere. We had the hummus appetizer which was top notch. We actually had it cleared from our table with some left (not like us at all), but felt with so much food coming it would fill us up…Our waitress brought our arugula salad (we ordered one to share) already split on two plates, very thoughtful. The salad was excellent with a few dried onions. My wife and I loved it. Now the fun part – we ordered the skate wing and fried chicken entrees. I was a little hesitant on the skate, but since I saw so many people rate it highly – and the servers endorsement…I took a chance. It was AWESOME. It had a scallop feel and was fibrous, not fishy at all. The grits served with it made the dish. The chicken was delightful, a true southern dish cooked masterfully. I mentioned to the server it was my wifes birthday, and she brought our dessert (3 small dishes – dried cherry tart, choco

I’ve never been to Morton’s before and had only heard about it. My boyfriend and I went last night for my birthday dinner after unsuccessfully finding a good Italian place. It was quiet, nice ambience, and the staff was pleasant and attentive. We both had ribeye steak, he had the cajun and I had regular from the smaller cut menu. Fantastic. We were going to order 3 sides but didn’t know how big they were so if you go, 2 sides will be plenty for 2 people. The Hot Chocolate Cake was also delicious, though took a while to come out. Overall, it was a nice experience and I would love to go again!Pros + Staff, steak, dessert, ambienceCons – Prices, but still worth it, dessert took a while
