Where is the Best Steak in Atlanta, Georgia?
We are residents of Decatur and eat out very often. We were very frequent Mick’s customers and were sad to see them close. But Parkers has definitely “one upped them” in food and with a beautiful atmosphere and style. This location–particularly the patio– is best in Decatur for people watching, atmosphere, shade– as we LOVE to eat outdoors anytime we can. Their patio is suberb. We have eaten there dozens and dozens of times and have never been disappointed with food or service even one time. The servers are all very good and we have some that have been absolutlety delightful, attentive, fun, and very friendly. The BEST! Everyone makes you feel very welcome from Host to Managers to Owners– as well as servers. Truly our Number 1 Decatur favorite! All they need is those WHEAT rolls as an option they’ll be PERFECT!Pros + Location, View, Food, Service, Owners and Managers!Cons – Can be pricey and need bread variety (ie wheat option)
I’ve been to this location several times for business and pleasure. I would recommend this restaurant if: you prefer your steaks prepared with a light char on the outside, if you’re having a nice business lunch/dinner, or if you’re limited to restaurants in the Perimeter Mall area. The steaks here are excellent, the only criticism being that there always seems to be one person in the party with a grossly overcooked steak. Most sides serve 3, 4 if small portions – the only side I would advise against is the au agratin as it isn’t as flavorful as their other potato options. The clientele and restaurant atmosphere tend to lend itself better to a business meal than a romantic date. Also, the service staff doesn’t seem to match the price point when it comes to both appearance (the waiters looks like bus boys with their uniform jackets) and service (don’t offer to decant the wine or de-shell the lobster tail). The food is great, but their prices tend to leave you feeling a little u
I took my son and four of his friends to Bones and I was surprised at how good the steak was. We have dined at Ruth Chris’s many times but there was a richer flavor in Bones’ steak. The side and dessert was excellent and the waiter’s could not have been more attentive. My only recommendation is that it could be friendlier, not so snobby. We eat at a lot of very good restaurants and I refuse to let the hired help act like their blue bloods.
Recommend making reservations, or you could wait some time to be seated. Took my husband there for his birthday dinner and it was very good. I had told the reservationist beforehand that it was his birthday and everyone from the host, servers made a note to mention “Happy Birthday” to him. We tried the house special lobster as an appetizer and it was very good, with wonderful sauces. I had a crab chowder which could have been more flavorful – not to thick, though and that’s what I prefer. My husband had the ribeye, I had the pan roasted chicken – and they were both absolutely delicious. Dessert, we had rum raisin bread pudding. Also very tasty.I give this two thumbs up! Attentive service, delicious food, a bit pricey.Pros + good, attentive service, delicious foodCons – Smoky, pricey
