The food is a bit expensive to buy, though their lunch specials are usually pretty good. Where Grape Vine Market really excels is in their wine selection, which covers almost the entire store. Their customer service agents are extremely helpful with wine suggestions, and their prices aren’t too bad ($1-2 more expensive than our local supermarket on same brand wines).
Greetings,To anyone who doubts that time machines and record stores are mutually exclusive, or in fact may not exist, just, for your own clarification, travel to downtown Austin and go to Waterloo Music. In a nanosecond you can travel seamlessly from 1958 to 2008 (and actually have kind, informed, pleasant travel attendants to guide you on your journey….I’ve even gotten great suggestions from fellow searchers. Last night I found, on one my numerous trips to this mecca, a MINT copy of Uncle Tupeloe’s double album on 180 gm English vinyl…what a treat as I put it all on my Revox reel-to-reel for uninterrupted listening…at those times when changing sides or lp’s just isn’t the thing to be doing.
