Where is the Best Sports Massage in Charlotte, North Carolina?
If you are looking for good value (only $39 per hour!) and fantastic massages, I recommend my favorite therapist at the Woodlawn Rd. Massage Envy in Charlotte–Maureen Van Kirk. I have been going to her for about a year and she always provides extraordinary massages and can accomodate anyone’s personal preference (swedish, deep tissue, etc.). I happen to have chronic back pain and she somehow miraculously makes the pain go away after each session!! The best part is that she is CONSISTENT–every time I go for a visit she does a wonderful job. Maureen is also very pleasant and extremely accomodating. I recommend giving her a try–but make sure you call a few days in advance bc she gets booked up quickly–and her massages are worth the wait. Don’t take your chances with someone you don’t know will do as good a job as she does!!!Pros + Great Value, Great Service, Great massage!
I was in Birkdale Village and stopped into Urbana spa. I was blown away with the decore and the people there. I got a tour of the place and was impressed with the whole operation. I scheduled a massage while I was there, and that weekend, wow! what a great massage! I first had tea in the lounge and listened to some great music. My hot stone massage was perfect and actually couldn’t have been better. They also have a wine list and told me about their happy hours. I asked at the front desk if all the therapist were as good as Rene. She was wonderful, and I highly recommend her but have also heard from friends about other therapists there being really great. I would like to tell everyone who is interested in massage that Urbana is the best I have ever experienced. Great place, and I will be going back soon! Pros + GreatCons – none
A friend told me about Natures Spa and their Ultimate Spa Treatment. It sounded so amazing and she claimed it was the best experience she eve had, so I had to check it out.Wow, you wouldnt know it from the outside, but when you walk in you immediately start to relax and feel a sense of comfort. Corie was my therapist and she was by far the best I have ever come across. She was genuinely friendly and really seemed to enjoy what she does. She explained everything, made me feel so welcome and her knowledge, touch and energy totaly transformed my day. Now I know why my friend was so taken by the experience, the dry brushing, body scrub, warm mud massaged into the skin, a unbelievable facial during the wrap..then the tub, sauna and massage..and the little touches like the scalp massage and foot treatment..it really was the ultimate treatment…LOVE it, and cant wait to go back!!!!Thanks Corie…I’m asking for you again for sure.Pros + Great Staff, Relaxing Spa
If you are looking for a relaxing environment to get away from your busy schedule, then look no further than Urbana. Urbana, as a teabar, offers an excellent variety of quality teas from around the world (100+). They also offer wine and several delicious appetizers. They also sell quality tea-related products. As a lounge, the environment is very conducive to relaxation. The decor, furniture, and continuous sounds of lounge, downtempo, and world music create a very chill atmosphere. As a massage parlor, they offer nothing but the best massage services by a very qualified and friendly staff. I highly recommend frequenting Urbana. I have never been disappointed and it has become a regular spot for me.Pros + Tea, Atmosphere, Service
I am new to Charlotte and tried this salon twice so far. Once for color – loved it. And another for a cut – loved that too! I received comments on my hair immediately afterwards by strangers on the street. I must agree, however, about the front desk. The first time I walked in, I almost walked right back out. The front desk was scowling and unfriendly and I really got this snobbish feeling from them. They barely spoke, really didn’t smile, and I don’t believe they even said thank you. The owner or manager (not sure which one he was) was very pleasant and friendly though. The front desk kind of ruins the whole pleasant, spa-like experience. They are the first ones and the last ones you see so it kind of strips away the great experience of the scalp massage, beauty treatment, hair style once you have to go past the front desk.Yeah, they try to push products on you, but so does everyone – even the people in the mall kiosks or the service staff in restaurants. Everyone has s
