Where is the Best Sports Massage in Austin, Texas?
This guy is amazing. I met him when he was on tour in Portland. He worked on my wife who spent 3 weeks trying to convince me to see him. I wish I had listened sooner. He was only there for 2 days after I got my first massage and I got one more before he left. I’ve had massages all over the world, but have never experienced anything quite like what Erik does.I have flown to Austin to have him work on me twice. My company recently moved us here 🙂 Austin is Great!!!Erik’s work has helped me do things I haven’t been able to do for 10 years. He freed up my shoulder which kept me from doing most of the really fun things I like and has fixed it so my wife’s right foot doesn’t turn in and her knee doesn’t hurt any more. He is “so in to it.” He doesn’t just rub on you, he listens to your body, twists you in funky positions, does acupressure, and has something special that makes his touch healing. He changed our lives.Sometimes I just veg and listen to the music, other time
As a professional writer on medical issues, I’m skeptical about health claims not only by non-traditional medicine, but hospitals and MDs as well. I want quantifiable results before I believe anything. Merri Isom made no claims when I first became a client of her massage therapy practice. She just dealt with the immediate aches that my accelerated exercise program had caused. However, I found that Merri is much more than a massage therapist. Each session, we talked about my particular health issues and she slowly began offering ideas for dealing with them. Non-massage ideas. Something I had never expected when I first walked in.So, bottom line, here are my results. Not long ago, I suffered my first attack of gout, a painful joint inflammation caused by a build-up of uric acid in the blood. Merry didn’t just suggest I drink more water; she handed me a water bottle every time I arrived. Result: In two weeks, my gout-sensitive feet hurt far less and I was able to discontinue prescripti
I followed Melissa as her client from her previous salon. She has been the MOST wonderful stylist and colorist I have ever had. I get comments and questions weekly about my cut and color. She makes me look and feel younger, and I’m truly comfortable with my hair. Every time I’ve asked for a change, she encourages me, and helps me find just what I’m looking for. She knows my preferences, but what’s more, she knows me. She remembers what we talk about, asks about my family, etc. and keeps up with my life. It’s a rare thing, but after years of going to Melissa, she probably knows me better than most of my friends. I LOVE MELISSA!The rest of the staff are awesome too! They always know my name, are friendly and helpful. And I love getting my hair washed! They massage my neck and head…OMG! I’d go there just for that! Always amazing!Bottom line, if you want to feel pampered, cared for, remembered and special, you need Salon Ciao Bella.LOVE YOU GALS!Pros + Relaxing and positive atmosph
I went to try Myo because of the reviews, and I was pleased. I typically go to a day spa, but it has a high turnover rate due to its prices, and I get tired of always having to switch therapists. Myo was not what I was expecting. It does not aim for the posh, indulgent atmosphere of a day spa, which I kind of missed. Like they say, it is more of a bodywork center. There are no fancy locker rooms, etc., or people wandering all about in robes, like I am used to. You undress/change in the room where you receive the massage, before the therapist enters. One of the cool things, though, is the opportunity to select your own music during treatment. It may sound like a small thing, but I thought it was really neat, particuarly since ocean waves and new age music don’t really relax me. I had a 90 min. massage with Gina to address some tightness in my shoulder and knee from playing tennis. It was not a simple massage, but rather a very therapeutic form of treatment – she really focused
I like to come off as a guy who doesn’t care too much about his hair, but my wife and a few other people on this planet no better. Up until discovering David Tienda at Aziz (South location, on Brodie), I was a wanderer — each month searching for a new stylist whom I didn’t want to pop in the throat for f-ing up my locks. Let me tell you, I got around. David not only listens carefully and does what you tell him to do with your hair, he makes great suggestions based on your hair type, face shape, zodiac sign, social security number, what have you. He’s a wizard with the scissors and a seer with the shears. He’s a great conversationalist, too — able to wax eloquent and exhibit wit without losing focus on the quaff he’s cutting. He’s like a stylist ninja, with personality and humor. Seriously, the dude’s talented, and a good guy. Give him a shot — you won’t be sorry. Pros + Mr. T, no uppity staff, ample parking (huge plaza lot)Cons – nada
