Where is the Best Sports Bar in Providence, Rhode Island?

Large bar, TV’s everywhere you look, and plenty of games to keep you busy. Great place to watch sports. The only reason to eat here is if your more interested in getting rid of your kids in the game room than eating a decent meal. I have been there many times over the years (to meet friends) and have never had a good meal. Stick with the drinks – if you can get one. If you have to eat, I would just order some fries and call it a night. On the weekends, you can count on a police detail at the front door, a packed parking lot, and not a chance in h*ll of getting a drink at the bar. And ladies, if you like the feeling of being a goldfish in a shark tank . . . . this is the place for you on the weekends.

A bit expensive, and it can be crowded-but still, you usually have a blast. The food isn’t bad, drinks are good, and there are some excellent video games you’ve probably never seen before(Crazy Taxi and Arctic Thunder are favorites of mine). If you join their email list, you’ll get coupons and notifications of good deals every so often. Once you’ve spent a certain number of ‘points’ playing games, you’ll get ‘gold’ status on your Power Card and be able to spend less to play the same games. A nice touch is that tickets you win playing games are now recorded on your Power Card-no more carrying around 49999 tickets! Kids will enjoy it, too-but there are restrictions on when they can be present, especially without adults. It looks like a great place to hold a party, too. It is conveniently located on the top floor of Providence Place Mall.

O’briens Pub LOOKS to be a nice fun pub to have a few drinks & eat at , but in reality there is nothing to enjoy except for its looks. My girlfriend and myself decided to head to O’briens Pub since myself heard from other co-workers at my firehouse that its not a bad place to check out. We arrive there, get seated, and wait…..and wait….. , now it was steady but not busy, didnt look understaffed, finally after 20 minutes our waiter arrived asked what we would like, I ordered a Guinness, my girlfriend orderd a mixed drink, chips & dip for appitizers and a couple of sandwich wraps. The waiter then left, and again waited…. and waited… finaly after about another 20 our drinks FINALY came. My Guinness was horrable, I myself enjoy Guinness very much being half Irish, and knowing how it should tast which is rich and flavorfull. This Guinness was Flat, like drinking flat soda that was in the fridge for two months, my girlfriends drink was no taller then 3″ by 3″, which was lousy also. A

Prices a little outrageous considering the only thing the bar has going for it is the patrons that go in there. Service is great, your glass never goes dry! Arcade is a far-fetched word for what games they have.Pros + Service, Patrons, SelectionCons – Pricing, Pricing, Pricing
