Where is the Best Sports Bar in Minneapolis, Minnesota?
Billy’s is an odd shaped establishment. They have a patio, sun room, main bar, back bar and pool hall. The patio is the place to be in summer and the sun room next to the fireplace in winter. Billy’s food is your typical deep fried bar fare and only average in taste. The real appeal is the people watching. Especially from the patio. Grand Ave. offers not stop traffic to distract you. From a sports bar perspective, this place should cover you. They have numerous TV’s, pool tables and dart boards. I’ve never not had a fun time at Billy’s. It’s a good place to hang out, but not the greatest place on earth.
I visit Reid’s usually only before and after Wild games. If you’re lucky enough to get a table, then your pain decreases a bit. If not, be prepared to have zero space to even stand and take a sip of beer. Plus the food is flat-out bad. Go here to drink, not eat. I had Teryaki wings and they were absolutely horrible–basically regular chicken wings drowned in an entire bottle of sauce. Nasty. Stick with bottled beer because the taps come in plastic cups and are usually on the warm side. All drinks and food are WAY overpriced, the bar is overcrowded during Xcel events, the bathrooms are small and always blocked by the crowd–but the waitresses and bartenders are usually pretty nice.Tom–how about some drink specials, eh?
