Where is the Best Sports Bar in Denver, Colorado?
I was recently at Jackson’s and had a terrific time. It was during game 1 of the World Series (boston v colorado). I’m a Sox fan and didn’t know what to expect being in enemy territory and all but everything was cool. The crowd and servers well all ok with the fact that an enemy was in their territory. Of course a few friendly barbs were thrown around but in the end we all enjoyed the game. The buckets of beer were cold, the fish and chips were good and the sliders tasty. The place is huge and the roof top deck and outside patio make it ever bigger. If you’re visting Denver and need a place to hang out and watch a game this is the place. Oh yeah there’s televisions everywhere! Pros + Tons of Televisions, Cold Beer, Cool Servers, Roof Top Deck, Patio
A nice neighborhood bar, which proudly proclaims to have at least 30 televisions sattelite Tv’s of all the games, whether they be NFL,NBA,or NHL. Sundays the place is filled with fans with different jerseys from all over the country rooting their favorite teams. A lot of Redskin fans last week. If your game is not on one of the TV’s the management is very accomodating and will switch the game on to where you are sitting . The people there bend over backwards to make sure your every request is met, they are all very friendly and accomodating to everyone. There are pool tables, which they charge by the hour, multiple video game consoles ,and TV’s everywhere. The restrooms are always clean and smell good ,(as good as a restroom can smell I guess). They have specials on Mondays ,which are wings..very cheap..and specials throughout the week on various things. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cold beer and a nice hearty warm sandwich. Pros + Ambiance, Service, Pri
This bar has great ambiance, and it located in my favorite Denver neighborhood. We watched the soccer finals a few years back the first time I had been there, and it was a perfect spot. The drinks were good, plenty of TVs to watch the action, and an overall jovial crowd made for a grand time. Cherry Creek dissolved away, and we were in England throwing back a few pints with our best buds. The only drawback was lack of parking in the area. But it won’t stop me from bringing everybody I know?whenever I can! Bottoms up!Cons – parking
I used to frequent the downtown Old C’s location frequently but was transferred to an office on the other side of town. Recently, I moved back to LoDo and have to say…WOW. While the food is typical Old Chicago fare (not bad, not great) The place has undergone a bit of a makeover. First the beer…I went in for the 1st time in forever and found that instead of locking down one or two local brews they actually have about a dozen on tap most of which rotate from one “flavor” to another. So there are always a bunch new beers when I come in…love that. Second, this place is suddenly a club! They now have a separate bar area that features music, Guitar Hero and what I found last night – comedy! There is no cover and always a drink special to be found. My only complaint is the lack of women in the joint. This would be the perfect hangout if there were more opportunities to socialize with members of the opposite gender…….Pros + Beer and entertainmentCons – Not enough women
Okay, they hired the staff based on proficiency and not on looks, that works for me. The food sucks, but when I watch sports alls I want is beer and that they got right. The games are pretty cool, but overpriced. And what the hell is up with their lack of dedication to playing the Avalanche games? I mean so what if it’s the beginning of the season and college football is “more important?” We’re in Denver and should support the greatest local team as much as possible. If you’re headed there for the playoffs or Monday NIght Football, go early because it gets mighty crowded, really fast.Pros + Good Waitstaff, Every sport u want, Bubble HockeyCons – Price, No Foosball
