Where is the Best Sports Bar in Austin, Texas?

This is the best guys sports bar in Austin, hands down. You probably don’t want to take the kids, but you shouldn’t be taking the kids to a sports bar! I don’t know where they found all these beautiful women and they went crazy on the TVs so you can see every game from every angle. They even have leather couches if want to lounge around. The food gets better everytime I go and they have their own micro-brewed beer. Coconut shrimp highly recommended.Pros + Great sports bar, beautiful TVs and…Cons – Not a great place for first date (maybe second)

Third Base has become a solid favorite for my business or client lunches because the food is consistently great (trendy, very tasty, and lots of choice from light to large portions). Colleagues and clients ask to go back! I have even scheduled large lunch groups and have had EVERYONE rave about their menu choice –from the burgers, to great salads, sandwiches, to shrimp tacos (my all-time favorite!) to a great steak. A super selection of Appetizers, like the nachos or the mini-burgers, rate big raves and can serve a number of people. The desserts are real winners and big enough to share.I’ve been to Third Base at a wide variety of times and, even when it’s crowded, the service is prompt and the quality never suffers. Even though the place is new, the kitchen must be real pros! Sports Bar and Grill or lunch business spot??! The 32 plasma screens are glitzy and fun –great conversation, if you want a diversion, but (surprisingly) not distracting if you need to focus during lun

One of the things I was excited to partake in when I moved to Austin was good TEXAS Two-Stepping! Unfortunatly when I got here i learned that most of the old cowboy bars were long replaced in Austin by trendy college hot spots—–also fun, but not the same. Donns is a really great mix—- there is the country music (or piano on some nights) a nice little dancefloor, and there is still a good mix of ages. Not all college kids, not all old-folks—a little of both! The only drawback is there is usually a covercharge —generally a deal breaker for me (if i’m gonna spend $$ at the bar, why should i spend it at the door!) but I actually broke out the wallet on a few occations because Donns’ is worth it.Pros + Texas Two-stepping, FUN place, not Pretentious at all.Cons – Cover charge, Younger boys dont seem to know how to dance.

Rhinos is finally under new ownership and the place is already 1000 times better! They reopened the kitchen with a small menu, the place is SO MUCH cleaner than it was the last time I was there (which was last month) AND they are finally open until 2AM!!! They have happy hour all day and I believe a late nite happy hour as well. The girls that waited on us were cute and very friendly 🙂 I will definitely be going back!Pros + Cheap drinks, friendly service and good foodCons – None

Their buffalo wings are out of this world! The reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I did not try anything else on the menu. However, now I am having second thoughts, this place may deserve 5 stars if only for the wings!! But that wouldn’t be fair though.Pros + Friendly service; great wingsCons – If sports bars are not your cup of tea this place may be a bit too noisy for you
