Where is the Best Sports Bar in Austin, Texas?
I’ve always loved any type of buffalo chicken with lots of bleu cheese, so Pluckers is a favorite of mine. It’s kind of dive-ish, and every time I’ve been have had to wait at least ten minutes, but the bleu cheese and buffalo chicken tenders/wings/buffalo chicken sandwiches are worth it. We recently had Pluckers delivered, but they forgot to bring an extra side of bleu cheese and an order of french fries, and the french fries we did get were soggy because they were packed in the same styrofoam container as the buffalo chicken fingers. I probably won’t order delivery again…next time I’ll dine in or pick up and save the $3 delivery charge and tip for the driver. Don’t go on trivia night unless you want to listen to the highly obnoxious trivia guy who wanders around the place and shouts into the microphone while getting drunk on the beer he totes and swearing at the people who heckle him.Pros + bleu cheeseCons – obnoxious trivia guy
I have always had a wonderful experience and fabulous service. The bartenders know what they are doing and are very knowledgeable . the cocktail room can get a little busy sometimes and you might have to wait a little longer then what you might want but it is worth the wait.. There are tons of TVs to watch just about any sporting event you want. I have been going there for years and will continue to take friends and out of town guest. Keep up the good work. See ya soon!!!Pros + lots of tvs and great bartendersCons – the owner is a chicago fan
You have to pay attention to your directions to find Legends, but once you do you’ll: A) Never forget how to get there and, 2) Want to come back. This little gem is located inside the Holiday Inn, of all places (183 SB @ MoPac SB: on the service road). As a recent transplant to Austin and an NFL fan, this place is Heaven on Sunday afternoons. 36 screens… all fed by NFL Sunday Ticket on satellite. They show every game! They even provide you a map of the TV’s so you know where your favorite game(s) are going to be shown so you can grab a great seat. The place fills up every week, but not so full as to prevent you from finding a place to kick back. If you know you’ll need a table for one of the early games, just show up 15 minutes early and you’ll be fine! The food is your standard bar-fare: quesadillas, burgers, chicken tenders, etc.,… and the food prices are on-par with other competitors. The drinks are a bit pricey, but that’s not surprising given how very little competi
I’ve been here for HH many times but never on a Friday and we never have sat at the bar until this Saturday. My girlfriend and I had dinner here this past Sat. before we went out for the evening and our experience was a “first class, five star” service. The really funny thing were the two bartenders making us laugh because they were joking with one of the guest about not getting them two confuse, one has hair and one doesn’t. The “no hair” guy greeted us and took our order. He went as far as placing napkins down for us. He just didn’t take our order and ran off to make drinks. He made sure we were comfortable and satisfied before he moved on. My comment was, “Wow! VIP treatment”! We both agreed! Both of them checked on us and “no hair” made us an “Asian Love” martini. That was the best drink I ever had made with champagne. As we were sitting there, one thing we both notice was that everyone comes over to this guy and he treats everyone of them with the same courtesy. We’ve b
