Where is the Best Sporting Goods and Apparel in Los Angeles, California?
My first cue that this was the place to be was the constant flow of obviously serious tennis players. The Racket Doctor is cutely themed, with super-friendly, very helpful and extremely knowledgeable staff wearing hospital scrubs denoting their area of specialty or service. A one-time regular tennis player, I hadn’t bought a new racquet in several years and things have changed a lot! However, I received a ton of information about several different racquets (and of which I could have taken out for a demo) and purchased one. While it was being strung (in less than 20 minutes), I browsed the reasonable selection of attire and bought two skirts and several cans of yellow-felt-covered bouncy things (this site won’t let me use the obvious word!) for substantially less than I might have at some sports superstore. I’ve been going to ZJ Boarding House for the last 8 years and this shop is still the best in the area. They have amazing employees who know a lot about snowboarding. Some of them have been there ever since I started going in! Lately I checked out a couple of other shops, but I went in to their sale yesterday and I was blown away at the selection. Tony spent about an hour helpoing me and I ended up with a Magna-Traction Lib Tech…and I only went in for gloves! I also talked with Nicole and she totally dialed me about the new jackets. i was on my way to golfsmith to buy a putter with my 15% new membership coupon when i decided to stop by IDG. that was the best thing i ever did. i checked out their putters and Jim was very informative about all of the putters there. i spent about an hour checking out different putters and finally decided on the taylor made itsy bitsy spider. golfsmith was selling it for $200 but i was going to use the 15% off coupon there so that it would be $170. IDG was selling theirs for $179 but Jim and Dale were up front and told me that the coupon exluded all major brands including taylor made. i checked the fine print and they were right! Jim also took the time to show my girlfriend some womens clubs and gave her some tips at the driving net that they had. i even got to demo a driver from them! you can’t beat the customer service anywhere. i’ll be getting all my golf toys from there.Pros + customer service, excellent selection, they have just about everything, service!!!Cons –
