Wonderful service and high quality dining. We had a hard time finding it because the address on this website is old. The new location is directly across from Nauticus. They have Valet services available, but there is also public garage parking in the immediate area.Pros + Excellent Service, great foodCons – Don’t believe the location on this website.
This paticular resturant is a little over an hour from our house,so we usually only go once or twice a year.Its always good though.My 4 year old is picky,so this resturant is a Friday/Sat night,we have a babysitter lined up place!We almost always order the “Big Night Out” which is a packaged meal for 2 including desert.I love the cheese appetizer,my wife raves over the chocolate finish and we enjoy all in between!Everything is always fresh and you can subsitute one meat,etc with more of somthing else if desired (IE Im not horribly fond of their pork and would prefer more terriaki steak anyway!!!!)Highly reccomended.Pros + Great food,very romanticCons – Plan on spending $100 plus for two for the full course meals
One of the best meals (if not the best) I’ve ever had. Yes it was expensive, but worth every penny. Service was superb (best , portions were excellent and we loved the atmosphere and ambiance. The food was heavenly as we had the fried green tomatoes, crab bisque, apple & pear salad, tuna, lamb and finished it off with some cheesecake. The wine complimented the meal perfectly. Great evening and I definitely would go again and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for a fine meal.
We’ve eaten here several times since moving to Portsmouth – the service is professional to French standards, the wine list good and improving steadily, the food inventive and superbly prepared. I don’t usually eat desserts (weight!), but the chef patissier is a master here, and I just take an extra walk for a week. Sometimes in summer we just stop on the way back from the library for a kir – such a civilised thing to do, and such a wonderful little city to do it in. (The rating system is misleading – there aren’t any flaws to complain of here, but you have to leave space for the truly world class
