Amanda at Lola’s really knows how to treat you. I go every 4 weeks for a brow wax and as often as a can for a facial. Her facials are out of this world. My skin has never felt better. There are several different treatments involved and steam if you like it. Ask her to do a facial for your feet!Lola’s is small but inviting. She has warming blankets in the massage table that make me melt – even if I’m just having a brow wax. When I went to Vegas I got a bronzing treatment there as well. It started out with exfoliation and then application of the bronzing lotion. She was very careful not to scrub too hard on my splotchy sunburn which I appreciated. It was super affordable ($40 I think?) and she even sent me home with some of the product to use on my face. The downsides? She doesn’t take credit cards yet – but hey, if you can’t afford to pay cash you probably shouldn’t go.Pros + Comfortable relaxed atmosphere, great treatments, convenient locationCons – Doesn’t take pla

So, I’m really picky about self-tanner; I have pretty much tried all self tanners available on the market (versa spa, mystic, and tons of lotions, gels, ect.)…and nothing compares to the Organic Bronze Bar service that is available at Portland Spa and Boutique. It’s super quick, and Leigh, the technician makes you feel comfortable immediately, AND she customizes the color to fit your skin tone perfectly! The best part about it is that it is the ONLY self tanning spray solution available in Portland that is completely Organic without any parabens or other bad stuff you don’t want being put on your skin (they even have an anti-aging solution that can be added). Oh, and I don’t know how they did this…but that weird “self-tanner” smell is completely absent…you could seriously get the spray tan and go out afterward without having to worry about smelling funny. Needless to say, if you go check this out you won’t be disappointed; you’ll just be perfectly bronzed :o). ( I totally know that

Let me say this, I did have some trouble getting the appointment scheduled similar to some of the reviews below. I did, however, get that worked out with a personal call from the owner, Megan. Today was the day that my boyfriend and I visited the spa and had a really great experience. From the beginning of our appointment where we worked out our aromatherapy to the time we left, we were made to feel extremely special and were well taken care of. For those of you that take reviews seriously, it is pretty apparent from the content/timing of the bad reviews that they don’t seem legit. I would highly recommend giving Aequis a try for yourself. The folks that were working there did a great job and we will be back.Pros + therapists, experience, locationCons – tough to get the appointment

I’ve been to Rejuvenation Day Spa a number of times over the years. Each time is a delight. The staff is exceptional and caring and the behind-the-scenes crew totally professional. I go for the massages — perhaps next time I’ll treat myself to a facial.Get there a bit early so that you can enjoy a steam shower, and relaxing tea in the sanctuary as a delightful pre-massage calm-down. … and the sanctuary is waiting there when you’re done to for the opportunity to integrate the healing (and delay the “real world”).Pros + Healing atmosphere, ease of access, great staffCons – none

I don’t know where to begin. I love this place. Frankly, I can’t really afford it – or any spa – at this time in my life but I make it work about 3x/year (and my husband knows to get me gift certificates there!) because what it does for stress is SO WORTH IT. I always get the 80 minute massage and then sit in the grotto afterward. The price of the massage may be a tad higher than at other places, and I almost put that down as a “con,” but the grotto is included which makes it waaaay worth it for what you get, since I’d pay just to use it! It’s like being transported to another place and time – a very roman baths feel or maybe it’s an ancient tomb feel (nice dim lighting too, which can be adjusted) but whatever it is, it’s amazing. You sit in this very large (small pool-sized) jacuzzi next to a beautiful tiled wall with tea candles and they bring you wine or champagne or tea or a few other options, with appetizers, and the ceiling above slowly changes colors and has stars!
