Where is the Best Spa in Portland, Oregon?
I have been going to Bliss for quite awhile now and meaning to get on here and rave about it. I have nothing but excellent things to say. My stylist is Nicole and she is nothing short of an expert at what she does. I am constantly complimented on my cuts and color. If I tell her what I want, she does precisely what I ask. If I leave it up to her, she comes up with something awesome. She always goes out of her way to accommodate me and my schedule. I can tell that she loves what she does and she is definitely a perfectionist, as someone else in another review mentioned. Additionally, the salon is always clean and relaxing. Ethan at the front desk is always hilarious and friendly and the other stylists are fun to listen to and be around. Any time I call and leave a voice mail, someone calls me back well within the day and is ready to help me. Good stuff, Nicole, Ethan and Bliss! Keep it up! Pros + Friendly, accomodating, perfect service, good vibes Cons – None
The whole experience was wonderful from check in to check out. I had the Kanani No Ka Oi spa package which included a body wrap and facial with Lauren. I never felt rushed and the facilities were very clean. When I left, my face and body felt better than I had expected and I was really relaxed.I have very sensitive face skin – I think more sensitive than most – which I expressed to my therapist. I explained to her some of the issues I’ve had with my face and the types of products I use to clean it. I also had recently used a product suggested to me by a friend which had left my face inflamed and broken out. Lauren, the therapist, not only was familiar with the products, but also made some excellent recommendations. She also took the information I provided to customize a facial that soothed and nourished my skin. I was a bit nervous when I ordered the facial because I had had one before at different spa and my face was red and on fire for more than 3 days. But I felt heard at Kanan
I did alot of research after having one really bad facial somewhere else. I discovered Spa Willamina on City Search and LOVE IT!!! Spa treatments are a big luxury for me being a grad student barista. After one facial from Willow I indulged in a six series package because I came in a little stress-ball basket case and left on cloud nine. I got a massage from another place the day before my last facial and left Willamina more relaxed from a facial than I did from 90 minutes of massaging. My first visit I had weird skin bumps that Willow suggested I go to the dermatologist for but had no need after my facial and some product that she suggested. They were gone a week after my visit after almost a year of me trying to get rid of them on my own. Willow is the kind of person that I want to know in real life outside of my spa visits, she is so welcoming and just geniunely interested in her clients. I am a shy person but after one visit I felt so comfortable being in her beautiful spa.
so an lmt that has been practicing for 5 years, with nary a stained sheet?..surely dear girl you jest…oil stains fabrics..it always has..when you use hi-chemical compound cleansers maybe the oil will come out…but would you want bleach & ajax on a sheet?..I’d rather have the stains.furthermore lmt1, you were in months ago and are just now getting around to writing your nasty review?..wow must not be alot of excitement in lmt1 land…It doesn’t speak well of a grounded nature…and you felt a snootieness in the “cold” lounge area?….well it is LO for crying out loud..as for the rudeness and inept treatment you say you recieved wouldn’t that be something that you could call and speak with a manager about?..or write a letter?..I’m sure alot of dynamics were in play that particular day…but the flavor of your post was mean, vindictive and completely uncalled for .
The Dragontree is such a special place. Just walking in the front door I feel I’m invited to let go of my daily stresses and experience peace and healing. I have had massage from Roxanne, Joy, John, Chrissy and Serena and they are all so gifted and present in the art of massage. When I started working out again I was of course sore and needed a soothing and gentle massage, and they do that so well. I typically however have tension headaches and postural problems which requires deeper massage and more knowledge and skill. I am so impressed with the quality and expertise of the therapists at The Dragontree. Each time I go, where ever I am physically, mentally and emotionally, each therapist has been receptive and attentive and I get exactly what I need. When I just have the time or money for a little bit of nurturing, it is amazing how much I benefit from a head, neck and shoulder massage or foot massage in the Sangha Room. The Sangha Room is a community room with big cushy couch
