Where is the Best Spa in Oakland, California?
LOVE their products. Owner Vel actively promotes a “Less is best” attitude toward skincare. I was a skeptic at first, since I was using a 6-step, chemical-based line from the dermatologist. Now, just cleanser, “serum” and a little eyecream… easy! And my skin is surely healthier than ever. I recommend this line to everyone I know. Good for “problem” skin or just anybody!Facial services feel sooooo good, Vel has magic hands. Very soothing. I like the results from photo-rejuventation too. Ambiance is contemporary and tranquil, spotlessly clean!Scheduling can sometimes be a little confusing, but with some flexibility it always works out. I’m a devoted client, I like the simplicity of her products and services.
I wanted to tell everyone today about my favorite hairstylist at Elixir, Elena Mena! I’ve been seeing her for awhile now, and I wanted to go on the record as saying I absolutely LOVE the way Elena took care of me yesterday! Elena gave me EXACTLY the haircut I wanted and needed for my night on the town, and the way she made me look and feel was absolutely divine! I really love the way she listened to me before she began. After the day I’d had at work, the scalp treatment she gave to me just relaxed me so much, I forgot all about all the problems that gave me a splitting headache when I walked in. Elena gave me a really great shampoo and haircut, and made me look really, really great!!! She made me feel like I no longer had a care in the world. The other part of my visit with Elena that I really liked was the way my coloring also came out — Elena has a really great coloring touch that I just can’t get enough of. I wrote a review called “BAD HAIR DAY!!!” about my exprience with Danielle at the salon. Not long afterwards, the salon contacted me and offered me a complimentary haircut to make up for it. I was impressed with how important it was to them that their reputation be maintained. I never expected to be offered a free service. I went to Anthony for my second cut. He was really good about listening to what I wanted. After Danielle’s cut, I went to another salon and had it “fixed”, which meant getting a short cut. Now I’m working on growing it out. Although I’m not at a length where my hair will be what I want it to be, Anthony did his best to give me something that will ease the growing out phase. It’s still not my ideal cut, but Anthony was very attentive and really worked with me. The customer service was spectacular and I’m willing to try again when my hair is closer to a length that will really allow stylists to show what they can do. Thanks for responding to my last post, F
My boyfriend and I went here last night and were SO impressed. I can’t believe it’s been around for a year and we didn’t know about it…I forgot to suggest that they get better Search Engine Optimization and talk to CitySearch. In my number of searches for places with Sauna/Steam room and massage, this place never came up..I’m so lucky to have stumbled upon it because it is awesome! Really pretty rooms, good service…really just top notch. The whirlpool in the room is filled with fresh water for each client, the steam room (if you choose a room with a steam room in it) is spacious and high quality, and the room itself is very comfortable. It is very well-planned, classy, and relaxing. They provide you with towels and sandals. Bring water and kleenex, though. Also, bring lotion for after your steam so you can retain all that great moisture. I can’t wait to go back..this is my new monthly, if not weekly, treat!
