Essential Therapy has some really good things going for it. First, it has a great store with great products. When you come in for the first time, you can expect to fill out a very professional looking form complete with a drawing of the human body allowing you to mark where you don’t want to be massaged. Once you leave the store, they have their “Tranquility room” which is just that. This, to me, has been the best part. It’s very Asian themed with raised wooden slat flooring, cozy futons with lots of pillows, dimly candlelit room, lighted aquariums and great Asian themed music. It’s beautiful, cozy, and VERY relaxing. Sounds great so far, huh? The problem that I have had with Essential Therapy is that I’ve had 3 different masseurs and they ALL talked throughout nearly my entire massage. One talked about how far her commute was, one talked about wanting a new job, and I forget what the other talked about, but she talked. When I go for my massage, I want to relax and the ONLY t

So I have to preface this review with some personal info. Firstly – I have extremely sensitive skin. I also have the double “blessing” that it is also problem skin. I am a Latina with olive skin tone and so my sensitive problematic skin also has a tendency to scar after breakouts or rough handling. Lucky me!Secondly- My view of facials is that it is a necessary evil. Why evil? My skin gets very easily congested and so extractions are a must to keep my skin clear and healthy – but extractions HURT! So while the rest of the world gets to think of a facial as a pampering, relaxing experience full of herbs and steam and soothing masks….I get to look forward to it the way I look forward to a dental visit. I also get to look forward to exiting the spa with my face lloking like a red and swollen mess. Very embarassing!Enter my review of Andante Spa and Angelia. This was the very best facial experience I ever had. The spa itself was clean and quiet and soothing…all the regular spa feat

I would definitely use Elysium as your spa for a day of relaxation. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by the friendly receptionist. Not five minutes later I started on my spa experience. Everything was wonderful from the massage to the facial to the spa manicure and pedicure. I was totally relaxed by the time I left. The parking was also very accessible. You should try a day at Elysium.Pros + Relaxing environment, good parking, friendly staffCons – more treatment rooms

I ran across an advertisement for a coupon for Essence while writing a resturant review. Bargan shopper that I am, I never turn down a deal. I’d been there before some years ago and enjoyed my treatment and wondered if everything was still the same. It was even better this time! The staff is soooo wonderful. They have a very “familiar” appeal. The owner is so warm and welcoming with her signature, “You’re so cute!” statement. I’ve been to other spa’s and had the works (as I did this time) and have yet to receive the warm feeling I get when I’m at Essence like, “I want you around.” Everywhere else I’ve been–including big places like Dillards–always feels so cold. I can’t say more about the staff. The service is so great. My facial was very informative and my massage was very relaxing. I even made some friends in the meditation room. I’ll definately be back many times.Pros + The staff, the ambiance, the owner is usually thereCons – the parking, unless I missed some

I visited Tiba for the first time the other day and got a brow wax and massage by Summer. The services were fantastic. My brows look great and the massage was wonderful. The down side is that this facility is extremely crowded. The massage room was tiny- and kind of like a room at the dentist or dr.’s office- but smaller. The lobby is packed full of gaudy retail and it is not at all what I would call a relaxing environment. I will go back, because I like Summer, but I’m definately dissatisfied with the vibe of this spa.Pros + knowledgable, professional staffCons – crowded, poor atmosphere
