My husband and I have recently relocated from Colorado and I was sad to leave the woman who had waxed me for the past year and a half. I thought I never find anyone better than her. Well, I have! Alla was wonderful! I had an underarm and bikini done, which took approx one hour (a little long because it was the first session). The room was very comfortable with the dimmed lights and music. I could have fallen asleep if it had been for the waxing, which has been the least painful I’ve experienced in about 8-9 years of waxing. She talked to me about my skin and previous experiences with waxes. Throughout the session she explained what she was doing and asked me how I was doing or if I was experiencing pain. The type of wax she used adhered to the hair itself, not the skin. (This is important for me because I have very sensitive skin, a tendency for ingrown hairs, and a scar in the bikini line.) Amy Kott Hovland has the best staff of stylist who are well trained in the latest hair styles and color applications. The scalp massage given during a shampoo is so relaxing it is hard to stay awake. Also, the shampoo area has reduced lighting and soft soothing music to relax you and make the experience wonderful. Everyone is professional, friendly and courteous. Becky is incredible when it comes to providing great skin care. She is very knowledgeable about the many skin care products and skin care procedures. Not only can Becky enhance your skin, she is honest and only suggests procedures and products that a client needs. I’ve been a client of Becky’s for a few years and the skin care regimen she suggested for me has made my 53 year old skin look wonderful.
I arrived twenty-five minutes prior to my appointment to find myself half asleep, in the V-Spa relaxation room, soaking my feet in a warm foot bath, enjoying a specialty drink with a heated pillow, scented with eucalyptus leaves, wrapped around my neck. My esthetician, warmly, greeted me and brought me into the facial room, in which, I received the Ultra V-Lux facial, which included a exfoliation, a light chemical peel, followed by a masque, which penetrated a, hydrating, Sonya Dakar serum into my face and decollate, leaving my skin baby soft and youthful. It was an incredible experience and I plan to return the first chance I get. The whole staff was extremely pleasant from beginning to end.
